TV Barrandov is a Czech television channel, launched in 2009. It was founded and started to broadcast in 2009. It currently broadcasts in Czech.

In 2015 after Chinese company CEFC China Energy invested in TV Barrandov's parent company Empresa Media, the tone of TV Barrandov's coverage of China changed with all neutral and negative reporting about China being replaced by positive reporting. [1]

TV Barrandov is currently dealing with bad financial situation. On 20 January 2024 TV Barrandov stopped broadcast after reportedly being cut from electricity due to debts. [2] [3] Broadcast was restored after 10 hours. [4] In May 2024, according to Evidence skutečných majitelů (Records of beneficial owners) businessman Jan Čermák bought another 50 percent of publishing company Empresa Media  [ cs ] from Jaromír Soukup  [ cs ] and became only owner of TV Barrandov. Soukup later denied transaction and said there is error in records. [5]

Matrix AB is a 2015 Czech documentary film by Vít Klusák. It centers on Czech politician and businessman Andrej Babiš whom Klusák filmed for about one year with Babiš's permission. It shows Babiš in his private life and also during the political campaign for the 2013 legislative election. It also shows Babiš's business partners, critics and members of his party and their views of Babiš. These people include Martin Komárek, Jan Kasl and Sabina Slonková. There are also moments when Babiš forgets that he is being watched by cameras and says controversial things. The film ends with Babiš's reaction to the film where he calls it a "dirty trick".

The series deals with the office of the government, and the title role of the newly elected Czech Prime Minister Pavel Diviš was played by the owner and director of the television Jaromír Soukup himself, who presented and moderated nine other Barrandov programs at the time of the series premiere. The first episode premiered on October 9, 2019. A total of nine episodes were created, the last of which was shown on October 22, 2019. The regular footage of the piece was 20 minutes, the creators of the show and the individual actors were not mentioned in the credits of the series.
