[2] [3] It is endemic to New Zealand, [4] where it has been recorded from Fiordland and north-western Nelson. [5] The habitat of this species consists of subalpine and alpine areas. [5] Adults have been recorded from December to February. [5] Adults of this moth are known to pollinate Olearia virgata . [6]
