The Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (or PSGPC) [a] is a Sikh religious organization in Pakistan. [2] [3] [4] PSGPC was formed by the Government of Pakistan and is entrusted with the maintenance of Sikh religious institutions, places of worships in Pakistan. [5] [4] The body is headquarted at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore. [4]
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) was created in 1920s by struggle of Sikhs. After 1947 partition of Punjab, all religious properties of Sikhs came under Evacuee Trust Property Board. [6] On 11 April 1999, Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee was constituted under the ETPB chairmanship of ex-DG, ISI Lt. Gen. (Retd) Javed Nasir. [7] [8]
Its main organization is based in Lahore in the province of Punjab with Gurdwara Dera Sahib its headquarter. [9]
The PSGPC is opposed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), which regards itself as the sole guardian of Sikh institutions and religion worldwide. The right to sole guardian is given to SGPC every 4 years in a fair elections in which Sikhs from around the world participate. Unlike SGPC in India, PSGPC is not an Independent fully Sikh-owned body and is controlled by Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) of Pakistan. [10] [11] Thirteen members are appointed by Government of Pakistan, and these then members elect the president and the secretary-general. [12] [13]
This organization is entrusted with the maintenance of Sikh religious institutions, places of worships ( gurdwara ) and the well-being of the Pakistani Sikh community. [14] It works to bring back sacred relics belonging to Sikhism at gurdwaras. [15]

The Kartarpur Corridor is a visa-free border crossing and religious corridor, connecting the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, near Narowal in Pakistan to Gurudwara Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur district, Punjab, India. The crossing allows devotees from India to visit the gurdwara in Kartarpur, Pakistan, 4.7 kilometres from the India–Pakistan border on the Pakistani side without a visa. However, Pakistani Sikhs are unable to use the border crossing, and cannot access Dera Baba Nanak on the Indian side without first obtaining an Indian visa or unless they work there.
Gurdwara Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh or Gurdwara Shahidi Asthan Bhai Taru Singh ji is a Sikh Gurdwara at Naulakha Bazaar in Lahore, Pakistan, which commemorates the spot where Bhai Taru Singh was executed. The shrine was built on the grounds of the Shaheed Ganj Mosque, leading to a legal dispute over ownership that began in 1850. British, and later Pakistani, courts upheld the right of Sikhs to maintain a place of worship at the site. While a settlement was being negotiated by British authorities, a group of Sikhs demolished the mosque on 7–8 July 1935, triggering communal riots. In December 2022, Pakistan’s Evacuee Trust Property Board closed it to the public.

The Gurdwara Management Committee Bangladesh, also referred to as the Bangladesh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, is a Sikh gurdwara committee based in Bangladesh which operates gurdwaras located in the country. The committee is based in Dhaka. The committee is controlled by its parent organization, the Bangladesh Gurdwara Management Board, which is based in Kolkata, India. A responsibility of the committee is managing the trips of Sikh pilgrims to Bangladesh to visit gurdwaras located in the country. The organization works closely with the Sampardai Kar Sewa Sarhali Sahib and Mata Amar Kaur Memorial Sewa Society.
A Sarai or Niwas is a type of Sikh structure that function as rooming-houses, inns, or hostels for religious pilgrims. Nearly all of the major Sikh gurdwaras have sarais associated with them. Many well-known sarais are attached to the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar and are operated by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
