This is a list of properties and historic districts in Tennessee that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are over 2,000 in total. Of these, 29 are National Historic Landmarks. Each of Tennessee's 95 counties has at least one listing.
Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is a Florida State Park located near Palm Coast, Florida, along A1A. The park is most famous for its formal gardens, but it also preserves the original habitat of a northeast Florida barrier island.
Oconee State Park is a state park located in the Blue Ridge Mountain region of South Carolina. This 1165-acre (472 ha) park has several recreational opportunities to choose from. They include cabins, camping, fishing and boating in the two small lakes located on the park grounds, hiking on eight nature/hiking trails, and several picnic and meeting facilities.
The Palmetto Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district, bounded by Twenty-first Avenue, Seventh Street, Fifth Avenue, and the Manatee River in Palmetto, Florida. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The district includes the Palmetto Historical Park and the various historical buildings and museums it contains. It also includes the 1930-built building of the Palmetto Women's Club, which was listed on the National Register earlier in 1986. And it includes the 1914-built Carnegie library whose construction was a major accomplishment of the 1900-founded women's club.
Dade City station is a railroad station and historic site located in Dade City, Florida, United States. The station is located on CSX's S-Line, which runs along the east side of the building. On July 15, 1994, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Woman's Club of Palmetto is a women's club and is also the name of its historic building in Palmetto, Florida. It is located at 910 Sixth Street West. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in March 1986.
The Old Palmetto Hotel is a historic hotel in Vero Beach, Florida. Located at 1889 Old Dixie Highway the Palmetto Hotel was constructed in 1921 by George W. Gray. The hotel provided a social center for the community as well as a lodging site for the many winter guests who would visit annually. After serving the county offices, it was enlarged in 1926 and in the 1930s it became the Kromhout Apartments, later it became Charlton Apartments, then Skippers Inn, and later in 1989, the Regent Court Apartments. On November 13, 1991, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Selma Union Depot, also known as Selma Union Station and Selma–Smithfield, is a train station and museum in Selma, North Carolina, and near the town of Smithfield. Built in 1924, it is currently served by two Amtrak passenger trains, the Palmetto and the Carolinian. It is located at 500 East Railroad Street in the heart of downtown Selma. The Silver Meteor and the Silver Star have their northern split here, but do not stop in Selma.
The A. M. Lamb House is a historic building in Ruskin, Florida, United States. It is located at 2410 West Shell Point Road. On October 12, 2007, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Oakleigh Garden Historic District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on 13 April 1972. It is centered on Washington Square and was originally bounded by Government, Marine, Texas, and Ann Streets. A boundary increase on 30 January 1991 increased the boundaries to Rapier Avenue, Selma, Broad, and Texas Streets. The district covers 1,453 acres (5.88 km2) and contains 288 contributing buildings. The buildings range in age from the 1820s to the 1940s with most in a variety of 19th-century architectural styles.
Woodbine–Palmetto–Gates Historic District is a national historic district in Ridgewood, Queens, New York. It includes 91 contributing buildings built between 1908 and 1911. They consist mainly of three story brick tenements with two apartments per floor. The buildings feature amber brick facades with burnt orange brick bases and trim.
Fresh Pond–Traffic Historic District is a national historic district in Ridgewood, Queens, New York. It includes 197 contributing buildings built between 1914 and 1921. They consist mainly of brick two story row houses with one apartment per floor. They have flat or rounded fronts with cream colored or amber, iron spot brick.
The Palmetto Building, built during 1912–1913, is an early skyscraper in Columbia, South Carolina. It was designed by architect Julius Harder, and Wilson and Sompayrac served as supervising architects. Upon completion it was the tallest building in South Carolina at 215 ft (66 m) and with 15 floors.
Woodruff High School is a public secondary school in Woodruff, South Carolina, United States, and is the only high school in Spartanburg County School District 4.
The American Telephone & Telegraph Company Building, located in Denmark, a city in Bamberg County, South Carolina was built in 1922.
Palmetto Theatre is a historic movie theater located at Hampton, Hampton County, South Carolina. It was built in 1946, and is an Art Deco-influenced Art Moderne style building. It features a prominent, ornate, projecting marquee with highly stylized neon lettering and geometric patterns. The theater was designed to seat 450 people, including balcony seats.
Columbia Historic District I is a national historic district located in the Arsenal Hill neighborhood at Columbia, South Carolina. The district encompasses nine contributing buildings and includes a complex of fine mansions and attractive homes built before the American Civil War. The buildings are in the Greek Revival, Italianate, Classical Revival, and the “Columbia Cottage” styles. They include the Governor's Mansion, Caldwell-Hampton-Boylston House, Lace House, and Palmetto Iron Works and Armory.
Fort Palmetto is a historic artillery battery located at Christ Church Parish, Hamlin Sound, Charleston County, South Carolina. It was built in late 1861, and was at the easternmost end of the Christ Church Parish line of defense. At the end of the war this battery mounted one nine-inch gun and two rifled thirty-two pounders. The earthen redoubt measures approximately 160 feet long and 80 feet wide. It has a 15 foot high parapet wall and a powder magazine about 25 feet in height.
The Palmetto Farm is a historic farmhouse in Palmetto, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built for Thomas Montgomery circa 1847, and it was designed in the Greek Revival architectural style. After Montgomery died in the American Civil War, the farm was inherited by his daughter Alice and her husband James Fount Tillman. Their son and his wife Sadie Wilson Tillman, a prominent Methodist, later inherited the house, which passed to Mrs. Roberta "Robert" Mason and remained in the family until about 2010. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
The Thomas P. Arnold House is a historic house in Palmetto, Georgia, United States. Built in 1906, the property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
