Palo-Alto is a barangay in Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines. It is located south of Mayapa, west of Barandal, south-east of Majada Out, and northeast of Laguerta.

A portion of the expressway from the Magallanes Interchange to the Calamba Exit is part of Asian Highway 26 of the Asian highway network.

Mount Makiling, is an inactive stratovolcano located in the provinces of Laguna and Batangas on the island of Luzon, Philippines. The mountain rises to an elevation of 1,090 m (3,580 ft) above mean sea level and is the highest feature of the Laguna Volcanic Field. The volcano has no recorded historic eruption but volcanism is still evident through geothermal features like mud spring and hot springs. South of the mountain is the Makiling-Banahaw Geothermal Plant. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) classifies the volcano as "Inactive".

The Tagaytay–Calamba Road is a two- to four-lane, secondary and tertiary road in Laguna and Cavite, Philippines. Albeit discontinuous, it connects the city of Calamba in Laguna and the city of Tagaytay in Cavite. The road's missing link that will connect its Tagaytay and Calamba sections is under construction.

Ramil Laurel Hernandez is a Filipino politician from Calamba, Laguna. He currently serves as the Governor of Laguna since 2014. He previously served as Sanguniang Kabataan Chairman of Barangay Mabato in Calamba, Laguna, a councilor of Calamba, a board member, and Vice Governor of Laguna. He was elevated to Governor following the disqualification of E.R. Ejercito in 2014. He was first elected as Governor in 2016 and was re-elected in 2019 and 2022.
