Pasiphila vieta is a moth in the family Geometridae. This species was discovered by Amy Castle. [2] It was described by George Hudson in 1950 using specimens collected by Castle. It is endemic to New Zealand. [3]
George Vernon Hudson FRSNZ was a British-born New Zealand entomologist and astronomer. Hudson is credited with proposing the modern daylight saving time. He was awarded the Hector Memorial Medal in 1923.
