Monica Patricia Dominguez Lara (born 5 March 1988) [1] is a Mexican weightlifter, competing in the 58 kg category and representing Mexico at international competitions.
Domínguez competed in March 2011 at the 30th Manuel Suárez Memoriam International Weightlifting Tournament in Cárdenas, in the 63 kg category, lifting 200 kg and securing Mexico's fifth gold medal for the sport. [2] The event served as part of the selection process for her participation in the Pan American Games in Guadalajara that year. [2] In August 2011, she competed at Shenzhen University, winning a bronze medal in the 58 kg category for her total of 201 kg in the clean and jerk. [3]
At the 2014 Pan American Weightlifting Championships in Santo Domingo, Domínguez won a silver medal in the 58 kg category, tying with Yusleidy Figueroa with a snatch weight of 90 kg. [4] She won the bronze for total weight in the clean and jerk category with 199 kg. [4] The event served as a qualified for the 2015 Toronto Pan American Games. [4]
At the 2015 Houston World Weightlifting Championship competition, Domínguez placed 16th in the 58 kg category. [5] [6] She participated in the National First Force Championship in Monterrey in 2015, a qualifying round for the 2015 Pan American Games in Barranquilla. [5] The Barranquilla competition also served as a qualifier for participation in the 2016 Summer Olympics. [5]
Domínguez was a member of the Mexican Olympic team at the 2016 games in Rio, [7] scheduled to compete first in the 58 kg category. [8] She ranked 8th. [1]
She participated in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, winning a silver medal in the women's 58 kg snatch with a lift of 92 kg and a bronze in the clean and jerk with 115 kg. [9]

Oscar Albeiro Figueroa Mosquera is a retired Colombian weightlifter, and a gold medallist competing in the 62 kg category until 2018 and 67 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories. He was born in the rural township of Zaragoza, located in Cartago, Valle del Cauca, Colombia.
Diego Fernando Salazar Quintero is a Colombian weightlifter, Olympic medalist and two times gold medal winner at the Pan American Games. He was born in Barranquilla.
Yuderqui Maridalia Contreras, also known as Yudelkis Contreras, is a Dominican Republican weightlifter. She went to the 2008 Summer Olympics where she was 5th. After the Games, she was accused of failing a doping control, but the case ended with her name cleared. She was one of the two athletes that represented her home country in weightlifting at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She failed her three attempts in the snatch stage ending with no mark.
