Alfonso Antonio Leyva Yepez (born January 6, 1993) is a Mexican Greco-Roman wrestler and mixed martial artist.
He competed in the men's Greco-Roman 85 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in which he was eliminated in the round of 32 by Robert Kobliashvili. [5] [6]
After claiming second place in 2019 Pan American Games, Leyva competed in the men's Greco-Roman 77 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. In the round of 16, Leyva was eliminated from the tournament against Aleksandr Chekhirkin. [7]
After retiring from wrestling after the 2020 Summer Olympics due to lack of support, he announced transition to mixed martial arts. [2] Skipping the amateur career, he went professional and has racked a 5–0 record in the Mexican regional circuit. [2]
Leyva made his stateside debut against Daniel Reis at LFA 135 on July 8, 2022. He won the fight via second-round technical knockout. [8]

Randall Duane Couture is an American mixed martial arts commentator, actor, former United States Army sergeant, former professional mixed martial artist, and former collegiate and Greco-Roman wrestler. Karam Ibrahim Gaber is an Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the Men's Greco-Roman 96 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Gaber won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships. At the 2012 London Olympics, he won his second Olympic medal, winning a silver. He was suspended by United World Wrestling for two years in August 2015, because of a whereabouts failure during his doping test. In February 2024, Gaber announced his retirement from Greco-Roman wrestling.
Joseph Ryan Warren is an American Greco-Roman wrestler and mixed martial artist who most recently competed for Bellator MMA. In Bellator, Warren became the first fighter in the promotion's history to become world champion in 2 divisions, winning the Bellator Featherweight World Championship in 2010 and the Bantamweight World Championship in 2014. As a Greco-Roman wrestler, he won the 2006 Pan American and the 2006 World Championship. He later participated in and won the Gold Medal at the 2007 World Cup.
Eddy Bengtsson is a Swedish retired wrestler who competed in the Men's Greco-Roman 120 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2000 Summer Olympics. Bengtsson retired from wrestling and competed in many grappling tournaments, and in mixed martial arts. On April 23, 2010, he faced Alexander Emelianenko for the Russian-based Pro FC mixed martial arts organization losing by KO in the opening round. Bengtsson made a brief comeback as a wrestler to try to reach the 2012 Summer Olympics but failed. On May 10, 2012, he officially announced his retirement as a wrestler. He is an honorary member of the Scandinavian Hammers.
