The Peterson Schools (Spanish : Colegios Peterson) is a private, international, co-educational, non-profit establishment located in Mexico City, Mexico. [1] [2] It has offered the International Baccalaureate Organization Diploma Program since 2004 to students in the last two years of high school. [3] [4]

The Peterson Schools is a member of the Association of American Schools in Mexico (ASOMEX), [5] of Instituciones de Enseñanza Particular de la República Mexicana (IEPRM), [6] as well as member of National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) [7]

Locations

The Cuajimalpa Campus in Lomas de Vista Hermosa, Cuajimalpa serves preschool through high school and was founded in 1990. [8]

The Lomas Campus in Lomas de Chapultepec, Miguel Hidalgo it is the oldest Montessori English preschool in Mexico and was founded in 1965. [9]

The Paseo Campus in Jardines del Pedregal, Álvaro Obregón teaches preschool and pre-first, and was opened in 2019. [10]

The Pedregal Campus in Jardines del Pedregal, Álvaro Obregón serves elementary school and was founded in 1976. [11]

Miguel Hidalgo is a borough in the Mexico City. It was created in 1970 when central Mexico City was divided into four boroughs. Miguel Hidalgo joined the historic areas of Tacuba, Chapultepec and Tacubaya along with a number of notable neighborhoods such as Polanco and Lomas de Chapultepec. With landmarks such as Chapultepec Park and the Museo Nacional de Antropología, it is the second most visited borough in Mexico City after Cuauhtémoc where the historic center of Mexico City is located. Tacubaya and Tacuba both have long histories as independent settlements and were designated as “Barrios Mágicos” by the city for tourism purposes.

Santa Fe is one of Mexico City's major business districts, located in the west part of the city in the alcaldías (boroughs) of Cuajimalpa and Álvaro Obregón. The Paseo de la Reforma avenue and Constituyentes avenue are the primary means of access to the district from the central part of Mexico City. Santa Fe consists mainly of highrise buildings surrounding a large shopping mall, Centro Santa Fe, which is currently the largest mall in Latin America. The district also includes a residential area and three university campuses, among other facilities.The Toluca–Mexico City commuter rail, due to open in 2023, will also improve mobility and development in the district.

Jardines del Pedregal or simply El Pedregal is an upscale residential colonia (neighborhood) in southern Mexico City hosting some of the richest families of Mexico. It is also known as the home to the biggest mansion in the city. Its borders are San Jerónimo Avenue and Ciudad Universitaria to the north, Insurgentes Avenue to the east and Periférico to the south and west. Its 1,250 acres (5.1 km2) were a major real estate project undertaken by Mexican modernist architect Luis Barragán.

Bosques de las Lomas is a colonia, or officially recognised neighbourhood, located in western Mexico City. It falls partly in Cuajimalpa borough and partly in Miguel Hidalgo borough. It was the masterpiece of Carleton F. Boyle, who previously was the CEO of Lock Joint Company. His good friend Don Carlos Trouyet owned the land & C.F. Boyle created the development which was the first borough in Latin America to have all the telephone & electrical lines run underground. The bridge in Bosques de las Lomas was the first of its kind in Latin America when C.F. Boyle hired French engineers to create it, and to this day Mexican Military Units use it for training exercises. The church design was chosen in a contest by C.F. Boyle by the architect Juan Cortina Del Valle, which has a vanguard design of a pyramid with a prominent stained glass window by the Hungarian-French artist Victor Vasarely.
