A remix album is an album consisting of remixes or rerecorded versions of an artist's earlier released material. The first act who employed the format was American singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson. As of 2007, the best-selling remix album of all time is Michael Jackson's Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix (1997).
Cinema of the Netherlands refers to the film industry based in the Netherlands. Because the Dutch film industry is relatively small, and there is little or no international market for Dutch films, almost all films rely on state funding. This funding can be achieved through several sources, for instance through the Netherlands Film Fund or the public broadcast networks. In recent years the Dutch Government has established several tax shelters for private investments in Dutch films.
The Golden Calf is the award of the Netherlands Film Festival, which is held annually in Utrecht. The award has been presented since 1981, originally in six categories: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Culture Prize and Honourable mention. In 2004, there were 16 award categories, mainly because in 2003 the categories Best Photography, Best Montage, Best Music, Best Production Design, Best Sound Design were added.
Black Book is a 2006 war drama thriller film co-written and directed by Paul Verhoeven, and starring Carice van Houten, Sebastian Koch, Thom Hoffman and Halina Reijn. The film, credited as based on several true events and characters, is about a young Jewish woman in the Netherlands who becomes a spy for the resistance during World War II after tragedy befalls her in an encounter with the Nazis. The film had its world premiere on 1 September 2006 at the Venice Film Festival and its public release on 14 September 2006 in the Netherlands. It is the first film that Verhoeven made in the Netherlands since The Fourth Man, made in 1983 before he moved to the United States.
The Netherlands Film Festival is an annual film festival, held in September and October of each year in the city of Utrecht.
The Golden Film is a film award recognizing domestic box office achievements in the Netherlands. The Golden Film is awarded to films from the Netherlands once they have sold 100,000 tickets. The award is an initiative by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund to increase media attention for Dutch films. For each awarded film there is one trophy for the film crew and another for the film cast.
The Crystal Film is a film award recognising domestic box office achievements in the Netherlands. The Crystal Film is awarded to documentary films from the Netherlands once they have sold 10,000 tickets.

The Diamond Film is a film award recognising domestic box office achievements in the Netherlands. The Diamond Film is awarded to films from the Netherlands once they have sold 1,000,000 cinema tickets or more during the original circulation. The award is initiated by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund in addition to the Golden Film for 100,000 visitors, the Platinum Film for 400,000 visitors, and the Crystal Film for 10,000 visitors of a documentary film.

Netherlands Association of Film Distributors is an association for film distributors in the Netherlands, based in Amsterdam. Sixteen film distributors in the Netherlands are member organizations. Weekly, the association publishes information about new film releases and box office results in the Netherlands. Hanneke Niens is a Dutch television, documentary and film producer. She is also a guest tutor at the Netherlands Film Academy and the international audiovisual organization EAVE.
During her career Hanneke Niens won numerous awards both as producer and with her company KeyFilm. Notable awards are the Golden Calf Best long feature film for De Tweeling (2003), an Academy Award nomination Best foreign language film for De Tweeling (2004) and the Prix Europa Television Programme of the Year for the telemovie De uitverkorene (2006). In 2007 Pierre Bokma won an International Emmy Award for his role in this movie. Box office hits Soof and Soof 2 were both awarded the Platinum Film. In 2018 her international co-production The Reports on Sarah and Saleem won the Special Jury Award for Best Scenario and the HBF Audience Award on the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
Her films have been selected for the international A-festivals Hot Docs, IDFA, Berlinale, San Sebastián, Toronto and Locarno.
Hanneke is member of the European Producers Club, European Film Academy and member of the supervisory board of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. From 2004 to 2010, she was board member of Film Producers Netherlands.
The Marriage Escape, in Dutch: De beentjes van Sint-Hildegard is a 2020 Dutch film directed by Johan Nijenhuis. The film is an adaptation of the 2016 Czech film Tiger Theory, and it is the first cinema film predominantly spoken in the Tweants variety of Low Saxon, although the title is in Dutch.
Bon Bini Holland 2 is a 2018 Dutch comedy film produced by Maarten Swart and directed by Jon Karthaus. Starring co-writer Jandino Asporaat who plays five different characters in the film, and Liliana de Vries. The film premiered in Dutch theaters nationwide on 13 December 2018. The film is a sequel to Bon Bini Holland. The film grossed more then $7 million and was the fourth-most visited Dutch film of 2019. It also won the Audience Award at the 2020 Netherlands Film Festival.
