Prime 9ja Online is a Nigerian online newspaper published by Prime 9ja Online Media based in Edo State, Nigeria that provides news and analysis on politics, business, entertainment, sports, and more. [3] [4] The website was launched in 2016 by Chima Joseph Ugo with the aim of providing Nigerians and Africans with accurate and reliable news and information.

Prime 9ja Online is an online news and media website founded by Chima Joseph Ugo in 2016 with its headquarters in Okada, Edo, Nigeria.

In June 2022, Stamp Nigeria ranked Prime 9ja Online among the 19 fastest-growing newspaper startups in Nigeria. [4]

In March 2023, they launched a news section in Pidgin language. [5] [6] [7]

Pidgin version

In addition to their standard English version, Prime 9ja Online recently launched a Pidgin version of their website, [8] Prime 9ja Online Pidgin. [2] [9] The aim is to reach out to more Nigerians who may understand Pidgin English better than Standard English. [10] This move ensures that they bring the news to the grassroots and give more people access to correct and reliable news and information. [11]

The Itsekiri are one of the Yoruboid subgroup of Nigeria's Niger Delta area, They speak a Yoruboid language and can be found in Delta State. The Itsekiris presently number 2.7 million people and live mainly in the Warri South, Warri North and Warri South West local government districts of Delta State on the Atlantic coast of Nigeria. Significant communities of Itsekiris can be found in parts of Edo and Ondo states and in various other Nigerian cities including Lagos, Benin City, Port Harcourt and Abuja. Many people of Itsekiri descent also reside in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. The Itsekiris are closely related to the Yoruba of South Western Nigeria and also close to the Okpe people and Edo peoples. The Itsekiris traditionally refer to their land as the Kingdom of Warri or 'Iwere' as its proper name – which is geographically contiguous to the area covered by the three Warri local government districts. The area is a key centre of Nigeria's crude oil and natural gas production and petroleum refining and the main town Warri forms the industrial and commercial nucleus of the Delta State region.

Akoko Edo is a Local Government Area in Edo State, Nigeria. Its headquarters is in the town of Igarra. It has an area of 1,371 km2 and a population of 262,110 at the 2006 census. The earliest settlers of Akoko Edo were the Benins who would have been there the same period the Etsako people moved from Benin during the reign of Oba Ozolua (1483-1504). Other migrating people, due to the fortunes of time, came into the area. Of the Igbirra and Idah from the North and East, the war which Oba Esigie fought in 1515-1516 with the Attah of Idah would have brought a lot of migration into the area.

Lego Legends of Chima Online was a massively multiplayer online role-playing video game based on the Lego Legends of Chima toy line, developed by WB Games Montréal, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment; the game was released for Microsoft Windows and OS X on 11 October 2013, and for iOS on 10 March 2014. An Android version of the game was announced, but never released. The game was closed on 1 June 2015, due to a lack of updates causing the game to not generate enough revenue.

The Muslim–Muslim ticket is a term used to describe the political arrangement where both the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of a major party are Muslims. Aproko is a word in Nigerian Pidgin that means someone who pokes his/her nose into other people's affairs. It is also used to describe gossip and anyone that is found discussing affairs that has nothing to do with him/her. The word is often used in a pejorative sense, implying that the person is nosy, meddlesome, or intrusive. The word may have originated from the Igbo expression apụrụ okwu, which may mean "someone who talks too much" or "someone who likes trouble" or Yoruba expression àpárò, which may mean "a small bird".

The Edo State Public Procurement Agency (EDPPA) is a government agency in Edo State, Nigeria, that is responsible for regulating and overseeing the public procurement process in the state. The EDPPA was established in 2012 by the Edo State Public Procurement Law, which repealed the Edo State Tenders Board Law of 1976. The EDPPA aims to ensure transparency, accountability, efficiency, and value for money in public procurement, as well as to promote local content and participation.
