Protula tubularia is a species of polychaete in the family Serpulidae.
This species is found in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the English Channel, the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea (off the coasts of Norway, Great Britain and Ireland), but also along the coasts of South Africa and New Zealand. [1]
The World Register of Marine Species lists the following subspecies: [1]
A salp or salpa is a barrel-shaped, planktonic tunicate in the family Salpidae. It moves by contracting, thereby pumping water through its gelatinous body, one of the most efficient examples of jet propulsion in the animal kingdom. The salp strains the pumped water through its internal feeding filters, feeding on phytoplankton.
Turbinella angulata, common name the West Indian chank shell or Lamp Shell, is a species of very large tropical sea snail with a gill and an operculum, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Turbinellidae.
The Pylojacquesidae are a small family of hermit crabs, comprising only two species in two genera. The family was erected in 2001, after two specimens at Museum für Naturkunde at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin were recognised as being quite distinct from other described hermit crabs. The family members differ from other hermit crabs in that their mandibles are chitinous and toothed.
Ziminella salmonacea, common name the salmon aeolis, is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Paracoryphellidae.
The Flanders Marine Institute provides a focal point for marine scientific research in Flanders, northern Belgium.
Fjordia browni is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Flabellinidae.
Fjordia lineata is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine heterobranch mollusc in the family Flabellinidae.
Orienthella trilineata, common name three-lined aeolid, is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine heterobranch mollusc in the family Flabellinidae.
Carpilius corallinus, commonly known as the batwing coral crab, is a species of crab in the family Carpiliidae.
Tubulariidae is a family of hydroid cnidarians. For long placed in a presumed superfamily or infraorder Tubulariida of suborder Capitata, they are actually close relatives of the Hydridae and are now united with these and a number of relatives in a newly recognized suborder Aplanulata. Most if not all species in this family grow on stalks and resemble small flowers.
Protula is a genus of marine polychaete worms in the family Serpulidae.
Catriona columbiana, the British Columbia aeolid, is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Trinchesiidae.
Catriona aurantia is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trinchesiidae. It was incorrectly synonymised with Catriona gymnota from the Western Atlantic but shown to be a distinct species by DNA analysis.
Ectopleura larynx, or ringed tubularia, is a hydroid in the family Tubulariidae.
Urticinopsis antarctica is a species of sea anemone in the family Actiniidae. It is found in the Southern Ocean around Antarctica.
Fjordia chriskaugei is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine heterobranch mollusc in the family Flabellinidae.
