Qualco is a locality in South Australia. [1] It is on the inside of a bend of the Murray River downstream from Waikerie, and the only land border is the main road from Waikerie to Cadell, with Sunlands on the other side of the road. The other side of the river is Taylorville.
South Australia is a state in the southern central part of Australia. It covers some of the most arid parts of the country. With a total land area of 983,482 square kilometres (379,725 sq mi), it is the fourth-largest of Australia's states and territories by area, and fifth largest by population. It has a total of 1.7 million people, and its population is the second most highly centralised in Australia, after Western Australia, with more than 77 percent of South Australians living in the capital, Adelaide, or its environs. The Murray River is Australia's longest river, at 2,508 kilometres (1,558 mi) in length. The Murray rises in the Australian Alps, draining the western side of Australia's highest mountains, and then meanders across Australia's inland plains, forming the border between the states of New South Wales and Victoria as it flows to the northwest into South Australia. It turns south at Morgan for its final 315 kilometres (196 mi), reaching the ocean at Lake Alexandrina.
Waikerie is a rural town in the Riverland region of South Australia on the south bank of the Murray River. At the 2006 census, Waikerie had a population of 1,744. The Sturt Highway passes to the south of the town at the top of the cliffs. There is a cable ferry crossing the river to provide vehicle access from the north side of the river.
Land use in Qualco is predominantly irrigated vineyards and orchards, along with some cereal crops. The river is bounded by wide flats that flood during periods of high flow.
Morgan is a town in South Australia on the right bank of the Murray River, just downstream of where it turns from flowing roughly westwards to roughly southwards. It is about 161 kilometres (100 mi) north east of Adelaide, and about 315 kilometres (196 mi) upstream of the Murray Mouth. At the 2006 census, Morgan had a population of 426.
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie is a local government area in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia. The council seat lies at Loxton, while it maintains a branch office at Waikerie.
Cadell is a town and locality situated near the north western edge of South Australia's Riverland on the inside of the large southward bend in the Murray River. It is named after Captain Francis Cadell, a pioneer of steam-powered navigation on the Murray River. The town of Cadell was surveyed in 1919 and named in 1920. It is slightly upstream of the earlier failed village settlement of New Era, however what is now the Cadell Irrigation Area is the same as was previously the New Era irrigation area.

Ramco is a town in the Riverland region of South Australia 170 kilometres (110 mi) north-east of the state capital, Adelaide and 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of Waikerie. At the 2016 census, Ramco had a population of 166. It is on the south (left) bank of the Murray River downstream from Waikerie.
Paruna is a town in eastern South Australia. The town is located on the Browns Well Highway, where it crosses the former Barmera railway line, 237 kilometres (147 mi) east of the state capital, Adelaide.

The name stemmed from the Brown's Well pastoral station, which was located near the council seat of Paruna. Meetings were also held on a regular basis in the institute at Alawoona, which was the district's major centre.

Murbko is a locality in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia. It is located on the left bank of the Murray River downstream of the northwest bend where the river turns to flow roughly south. The river forms the western boundary of Murbko, and the southern boundary is approximately the Sturt Highway as it crosses the mallee away from the river from the Blanchetown bridge towards Waikerie. Murbko Lutheran church was built in 1907 and is still in use.
Sunlands is a locality on the left bank of the Murray River, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of Waikerie, South Australia. The Waikerie Golf and Country Club course is in Sunlands.
Custon Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located in the state's Limestone Coast in the gazetted locality of Custon about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) south of the town centre in Wolseley and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of the municipal seat of Bordertown.
Holder is a locality in the Riverland region of South Australia. It lies on the inside of a bend in the Murray River east (upstream) of Waikerie. Holder is bounded on the south side by the Sturt Highway and includes the Waikerie Airport and Maize Island Lagoon Conservation Park. The locality includes low-lying wetlands near river level and rising and higher ground up to the level at the top of the Murray cliffs where the airport and highway are. The sloping and higher ground is used for vineyards and fruit orchards, irrigated from the river. The school opened in 1925 and closed in 1991.
