Maria Luisa Ramsey Kagahastian, known professionally as Jaya, is a Filipino singer, actress, and television personality. Referred to as the country's "Queen of Soul", she is known for her distinctively deep voice and soulful singing style. She was a talent of GMA Network but later transferred to ABS-CBN, where she served as one of the head jury of the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of the Philippine noontime variety show It's Showtime and performer on ASAP. Jaya is the second Filipino recording artist to chart in the United States, with her debut single "If You Leave Me Now" peaking at number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Regina Encarnacion Ansong Velasquez is a Filipino singer and actress. She is considered one of the most influential figures in Philippine popular culture and is known for her vocal range and belting technique. She had unorthodox voice training during her childhood, where she was immersed neck-deep in the sea. Velasquez rose to prominence after winning the television talent show Ang Bagong Kampeon in 1984 and the Asia Pacific Singing Contest in 1989. Fantasy is the 15th studio album by Filipino singer Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. The album was released on November 21, 2010 by Universal Records, which was her second full-length studio album under Universal after Low Key in 2008. The two-disc album contains both pop and mid-tempo sounds, as well as some softer and more contemporary melodies. The first disc contains new Original Pilipino Music (OPM) materials while the second disc contains cover songs from various artists. This two-disc album also consists of two packaging editions, the "colored one" and the "black & white edition", with each containing collector's item photo cards and the CDs. The photos used were taken by photographer Mark Nicdao. The album debuted at number one spot and was certified Gold Award after two weeks upon released. Fantasy was nominated at the 24th Philippine Awit Awards for Album of the Year and Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist for the song You Don't Know.

The album contains different music genres including jazz and blues which is new to Velasquez' repertoire. It is her third cover album from Viva after R2K (1999) and Covers, Vol. 1 (2004), and includes covers of songs by Al Green, Paul McCartney and Wings, Blondie and Alanis Morissette among others. The first single released is Hold Me In Your Arms originally done by the Southern Sons. The album was certified platinum a month after its release.
