Three List A matches have also been held on the ground,with the first coming in the 1995/96 Ranji Trophy one-day competition when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir. The others followed when Himachal Pradesh played Haryana in the 1996/97 competition and when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir in the 1999/00 competition. No further major matches have been staged there.

Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu and Kashmir. A right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler,Rasool is the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir team and a regular member of India A. He was bought for ₹95 lakh (US$110,000) by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 IPL auction. Rasool was the second cricketer after Mithun Manhas from Jammu and Kashmir to have played in The IPL and the first from the state to play for the Indian National Team in ODI's and T20I's. He played only 1 T20I and 1 ODI in his international career.
Imtiaz Ahmed was an Indian cricketer who played several matches for Jammu and Kashmir during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Imtiaz made his first-class debut in October 1996,against Punjab in the 1996–97 edition of the Ranji Trophy. A lower-order batsman,he played a further match in the following season's tournament,and also a single List A match in the limited-overs Ranji One-Day Trophy. Imtiaz did not play any further matches for Jammu and Kashmir until the 2002–03 season,which were to be his final two at first-class level. He finished his career with 101 runs from four matches at first-class level,with his highest score an innings of 40 runs against Madhya Pradesh in December 2002.

In 2023,he played in great Manchester cricket league for Westhoughton cricket club as their pro scoring 745 runs in 11 league &cup games which included four centuries and two half centuries with an average of 93.13 including a double hundred (212) in his first match and a 37 ball 100 as well breaking the club record.

He became the youngest Indian and one of the youngest players in the world to score a century in first-class cricket,with his 137 against Jammu and Kashmir in 1988 coming at the age of 14 years and 294 days. He was the youngest player to reach the 1000-run mark in Ranji Trophy,reaching the milestone at the age of 17 years and 341 days.

Vidarbha progressed to the knockout stage of the competition after beating Goa by an innings and 37 runs in round 6 of the tournament. They were joined by Bengal,after they drew against Goa in their final group-stage match.

It was contested by 37 teams,divided into four groups,with ten teams in Group C. The group stage ran from 1 November 2018 to 10 January 2019. The top two teams from Group C progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition.
