His movies Anuraga Sangama, Karpoorada Gombe, Namoora Mandara Hoove, Amruthavarshini, America America, Ulta Palta, O Mallige and Mungarina Minchu had successfully completed a 100-day run consecutively that year.

He directed the comedy film Rama Shama Bhama and acted in movies like Apthamitra , Pushpaka Vimana (his 100th Kannada film), Shivaji Surathkal , 100 and Shivaji Surathkal 2 . He is presently acting in KD .

Olu Saar Bari Olu is a 2002 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by Nagendra Magudi. A remake of the Marathi film Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi (1988), the film stars Jayanthi, Ramesh Aravind, Anu Prabhakar, Mohan, Balaraj and Pramod Chakravarthi. The original story itself is based on Sailesh Dey's Bengali play Joymakali Boarding.
