The Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX),signed as E1 of the Philippine expressway network and R-8 of the Metro Manila arterial road network,is a controlled-access toll expressway that connects the Central Luzon region with the Ilocos Region. From its northern terminus at Rosario in La Union to its southern terminus at Tarlac City,the expressway has a length of 89.21-kilometer (55.43 mi),cutting through the various provinces in northern Central Luzon. The expressway also passes Nueva Ecija between Tarlac and Pangasinan,only that it is not included on the expressway's name because there are no exits to directly serve the province although the exits indirectly serving it are Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX)/Tarlac City,Victoria,Pura,and Anao which are located in Tarlac.
José"Pepe" Chichioco Cojuangco Sr., KSS was a Filipino politician who served as Representative of the 1st District of Tarlac in the Philippines from 1934 to 1946. Cojuangco is one of the patriarchs of the Cojuangco clan. He was the father and grandfather of future Philippine presidents Corazon Aquino and Benigno Aquino III,respectively. The Pasig River Expressway (PAREX) is a proposed elevated expressway in Metro Manila,Philippines that plans to skirt the banks of the Pasig River and connect the cities of Manila,Mandaluyong,Makati,Pasig,Taguig and the municipality of Taytay. The expressway is proposed to alleviate east-west traffic congestion in Metro Manila. It is visioned to be a joint venture between the Philippine National Construction Corporation and the San Miguel Corporation. The project broke ground on September 24,2021,while construction of the expressway was yet to start pending the approval of its Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC). The project was deemed cancelled in 2024 due to public uproar against the project. However,Ramon Ang announced renewed interest with the project,though citing the need to adjust it towards public sentiments.

While Marcos associates enjoyed government bailout even during the decline of their firms,other businesses suffered high taxes,sanctions,and other unjust treatments that forced them to close up,or to sell their shares. The majority of monopolies linked to Ferdinand Marcos are managed by his close associates,also regarded as cronies by critics. Former First Lady Imelda Marcos insinuated that the Marcoses controlled the majority of the industries in the Philippines. In a 1988 interview,she stated,"We practically own everything in the Philippines—from electricity,telecommunications,airline,banking,beer and tobacco,newspaper publishing,television stations,shipping,oil and mining,hotels and beach resorts,down to coconut milling,small farms,real estate and insurance."
New Manila International Airport,also known as Bulacan International Airport,is an international airport under construction on the coastal areas of Bulakan,Bulacan,35 km (22 mi) north of Manila,the capital of the Philippines. The project was proposed by the San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and is set to help decongest Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA),the main gateway to the capital for air travelers.
Gilberto "Jimmy" Roy Duavit Jr. is a Filipino businessman,philanthropist,producer,and writer. He is the president and chief executive officer of GMA Network Inc.,one of the largest media networks in the Philippines. Duavit inherited the position from his father,Gilberto "Bibit" Duavit Sr.,who was the network's founding chairman. Duavit first became involved with GMA in 1993 as a film producer for the network's production company,GMA Pictures,which was then named Cinemax Studios and later GMA Films. He produced some of the company's most successful films,including JoséRizal (1998) and Muro-Ami (1999),both of which won the Metro Manila Film Festival Award for Best Picture successively. After his promotion as the network's vice president in 2000,Duavit became involved in the network's television production,having created the shows Liwanag ng Hatinggabi (1999–2000),Ang Iibigin ay Ikaw (2002–03),and Hanggang Kailan (2004).
