Rasm al-Harmal al-Imam (Arabic : رسم الحرمل الإمام) is a town in northern Syria, administratively part of the Dayr Hafir District of the Aleppo Governorate, located 50 east of Aleppo. Nearby localities include Rasm al-Krum to the southwest, Dayr Hafir to the south and Rasm Kabar to the southeast. [1]

Shaykh al-Hadid is a town in northern Syria, administratively part of the Afrin District of the Aleppo Governorate, located northwest of Aleppo near the border with Turkey. Nearby localities include Kafr Safra to the south and Darmashkanli to the northeast. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Shaykh al-Hadid had a population of 5,063 in the 2004 census. On March 4, 2018, the town came under the control of Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army.
Maskanah also spelled, Meskene is a town in northern Syria, administratively part of the Manbij District of the Aleppo Governorate. The town is located 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Aleppo on the Lake Assad part of the Euphrates. Nearby localities include Dayr Hafir, Humaymah Kabirah and Tell Ayoub to the northwest and al-Thawrah to the southeast. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Maskanah had a population of 15,477 in the 2004 census. The Syrian government took control of Maskanah on 3 June 2017.
On 14 September 2015, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) – in cooperation with the National Defence Forces (NDF) and the Al-Ba'ath Battalion – launched a fresh offensive inside the Aleppo Governorate's southeastern countryside in order to lift the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham's (ISIS) two-year-long siege of the isolated Kuweires Military Airbase. This offensive was later complemented by another effort starting mid-October further south, which would be aimed at cementing government control over the main logistical route to Aleppo from central Syria.
Kuweires Military Aviation Institute, is an airbase and military aviation institute in Aleppo Governorate, Syria. It is situated some 30 km east of the city of Aleppo, to the northeast of Kuweires Sharqi village, between as-Safira in the West and Dayr Hafir in the East.

Kuweires Sharqi is a town in eastern Aleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria, mostly known for the Kuweires Military Airbase 1 km (0.62 mi) to the northeast. Located on the Dayr Hafir Plain north of Lake Jabbul, some 30 km (19 mi) east of the city of Aleppo and 15 km (9.3 mi) west of Dayr Hafir, Kuweires Sharqi is the administrative center of Nahiya Kuweires Sharqi in Dayr Hafir District. In the 2004 census, it had a population of 3,129.
Deir Qaq or Dayr Qaq is a village in al-Bab District in northern Aleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria.
The East Aleppo offensive (2017), also referred to as the Dayr Hafir offensive (2017), was an operation launched by the Syrian Army to prevent Turkish-backed rebel forces from advancing deeper into Syria, and also to ultimately capture the ISIL stronghold of Dayr Hafir. Another aim of the operation was to gain control of the water source for Aleppo city, at the Khafsa Water Treatment Plant, in addition to capturing the Jirah Military Airbase. At the same time, the Turkish-backed rebel groups turned towards the east and started launching attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces, west of Manbij.
The Maskanah Plains offensive was an operation by the Syrian Army against the remaining Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) strongholds in the eastern countryside of the Aleppo Province, with the goal of recapturing the Maskanah Plains from ISIL and advancing into the Raqqa Governorate.
Rasm al-Abed is a Syrian town located in Dayr Hafir District, Aleppo. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Rasm al-Abed had a population of 2,416 in the 2004 census.. Rasm al-Abed was captured by Syrian Arab Army on 15 March 2017 from ISIS.
Humaymah Kabirah is a Syrian town located in Dayr Hafir District, Aleppo. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Humaymah Kabirah had a population of 4,190 in the 2004 census. During Syria Civil war this town was under ISIS Occupation until Syrian Arab Republic liberated the town on 13 March 2017.
