Regional Medical Research Center, Bhubaneswar Or RMRC, Bhubaneswar (also known as ICMR-RMRCBB) is an organization in the field of Medical research, established in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It was established in 1981 by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. The main focus area of research of the institute is on locally prevailing communicable and non-communicable diseases, tribal health and malnutrition in Odisha and adjoining states. The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), a special purpose vehicle (SPV), formed under Housing and Urban Development Department of the Government of Odisha operates a fleet of 390 buses to and from the capital. The buses currently operate in two phases, another phase would be established, covering all major destinations across the Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela. Asian Institute of Public Health University is a Privately operated Public health university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It was established in 2008 to bring the much needed expertise in various domains of public health to Odisha, emerging from close to two decades of community, hospital, and laboratory-based research and training in public health & expanding its contribution to a larger audience in the rest of country and in the neighboring Asian countries sharing population health problems of similar nature and magnitude. It was later conferred with university status after the AIPH University, Odisha Bill, 2017 was passed by the Odisha Legislative Assembly. It is the first Public health institute of India & the only entity in the country conducting public health education, research and service with expertise in all major domains of public health as well as the only institution that imparts required education at Masters and PhD level in the major domains of public health and conducts population-based hospital and laboratory research. Sanghamitra Pati, a physician cum scientist is currently the director of Public health at RMRC, Bhubaneswar the regional institution of the ICMR & the only institute in Odisha. She is an expert on multimorbidity research in public health settings, having been a lead in the first ever study of multimorbidity in India.

Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Sanaka Hospital is a private medical college located in Durgapur, West Bengal. It was established in 2015.

Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar M.B.B.S., DCH, M.P.H is an Indian public health expert and epidemiologist. He served as Head Scientist of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases at the Indian Council of Medical Research before retiring on 30 June 2020. He is a recipient of the 2020 Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award in India.

Aditya Prasad Dash, who hails from the Indian State of Odisha, is an Indian biologist with special interest in malaria and vector borne diseases. His areas of interest include biomedical science, transmission biology of tropical disease, and modern biology of disease vectors. According to Vidwan, the national network for researchers and experts, Dash has authored 320 publications co-authored 699 publications. Since September 2020, Dash has been serving as the Vice Chancellor of Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH) in Bhubaneswar. Before joining AIPH, he was the Vice Chancellor of Central University of Tamil Nadu during the period from August 2015 to August 2020. He had also worked at the World Health Organization (WHO) as the Regional Advisor for the South-East Region. He has also worked as the Director of the National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR), New Delhi, of the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar and of the National Institute for Research on Tribal Health, Jabalpur.

Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS) is a Public medical university in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It was established in 2023 by an Act of the Odisha Legislative Assembly for affiliation and better medical education management.
