Vice Admiral Murlidhar Sadashiv Pawar,PVSM,AVSM,VSM is a retired officer of the Indian Navy. He served as the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff. He assumed office from Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar on 30 January 2019 and served till 31 May 2021 till his retirement. He is succeeded by Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh. Prior to this appointment,he served as chief of staff,Eastern Naval Command.

Previously,he served as the Chief of Personnel (COP) and as the Director General of Project Seabird. He has also served as the Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet from October 2015 to October 2016.

He previously served as the 38th Vice Chief of the Naval Staff. He earlier served as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Naval Command,as the Chief of Personnel (COP) and as the Director General of Naval Operations (DGNO). On 19 April 2024,he was appointed as the next Chief of the Naval Staff succeeding Admiral R. Hari Kumar.
