Rough Town is a 1994 album recorded by French singer Johnny Hallyday. It is entirely written in English to win over the anglophone countries, with the title track written by Bryan Adams. It was released in September 1994 and achieved success in France, where it debuted at the top of the charts on 2 October 1994, but dropped just after and stayed for nine weeks on the top 50 chart. It provided two singles in France, "I Wanna Make Love To You" (#18) and "Love Affair" (#35), a duet with Kathy Mattea. The album was also released in Germany, but was unsuccessful in this country. The video for "Love Affair" was directed by Dani Jacobs, filmed in Nashville and features Johnny and Kathy Mattea who duets on this track. Rough Town is Johnny Hallyday's ever last album in foreign language.

The Law were an English rock group formed in 1991 by singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Kenney Jones. They intended to use different supporting musicians, to allow Rodgers to pursue whatever style he wished. They assembled a core band of studio musicians, consisting of Jim Barber as the main guitarist, second guitarist John Staehely and bassist Pino Palladino, with guest spots by guitarists such as David Gilmour, Bryan Adams and Chris Rea.

Robin Mark Le Mesurier Halliley was a British guitarist, known for his long collaborations with Rod Stewart and Johnny Hallyday, as well as for the wide-ranging nature of his musical performance, including membership of such bands as The Wombles.

"He Won't Give In" is a song written by Johnny Pierce, and recorded by American country music artist, Kathy Mattea. It was released in May 1985 as the second single from her album From My Heart. The songbecame Mattea's fourth single to reach the top 40 of the American country chart.

Written and produced by Michel Berger, it was released in December 1985 as the third single from the album Rock'n'Roll Attitude, on which it appears as the third track. It is a tribute to American playwright and screenwriter Tennessee Williams, who created A Streetcar Named Desire (1947), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1955), Sweet Bird of Youth (1959), and The Night of the Iguana (1961), among others. The song was a top ten hit in France and became one of Hallyday's most popular songs throughout years.
