Ruby Pouchet is Dutch beauty pageant titleholder from Bonaire. [1] [2] Pouchet represented Playa Pariba at Miss Bonaire 2022 where she was crowned Miss Bonaire 2022 at the finale. Her court included Caroline Porras of Antriol and Michell Emerenciana of Kralendijk. She also was crowned Miss Universe Bonaire 2024 and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2024. [3]

Personal life

Ruby Pouchet was born in 1995or1996(age 27–28) in Kralendijk, Bonaire. She obtained a bachelor's degree in advertising from the University of Houston in 2019, [3] [4] and has since worked as a community and content coordinator for the environmental non-governmental organization, STINAPA Bonaire. [1] [5] [6] [7]

Pageantry

Ruby represented Playa Pariba and won Miss Bonaire 2022. [8] [9] In 2023, she was announced as the first Miss Grand Bonaire. Pouchet later represented Bonaire at Miss Grand International 2023, held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in late 2023, but was unplaced. [10] [11] [1] [12]

Benazir Berends Charles is a Bonairean model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Bonaire 2010 and is expected to represent the Dutch public body in the 2011 Miss World pageant. She also placed in the Top 15 at Miss Intercontinental 2010.

The Bonaire national football team is the national football team of the Caribbean island of Bonaire, a public body of the Netherlands. It is under the control of the Bonaire Football Federation. Mamita Fox is a Curaçao-born nurse, activist, artist and writer who lives in Bonaire. Her autobiography, written in Papiamentu, is an important addition to works written in Creole languages. A well-known radio personality on the island, Fox became a vocal opponent to health care law changes by the Netherlands and how they impacted citizens of the former Netherlands Antilles. Her activism led to a change in the way health care was administered.

Nguyễn Minh Tú is a Vietnamese supermodel, beauty pageant titleholder and actress. She won the silver prize in Vietnam Supermodel 2013 contest, and was runner-up in the fifth season of Asia's Next Top Model. She was one of three mentors of The Face Vietnam 2017, as well as a master mentor for season six of Asia's Next Top Model. Miss Grand International also known as Miss Grand is an international beauty pageant franchise that was based in Thailand. Miss Grand International 2023 was the eleventh edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on 25 October 2023 at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Miss Grand United States 2017 was the second edition of the Miss Grand USA pageant, held on July 25, 2017 at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia, Symphony Space, New York City. Contestants from seventeen U.S. states competed for the title, of whom the representative of California, Taylor Kessler, was announced the winner. She then represented the United States at Miss Grand International 2017 in Vietnam, but did not qualify to the top 10 finalists.

Miss Grand Chile 2017 was the first edition of the Miss Grand Chile beauty pageant, held on September 22, 2017, at the Centro de Eventos Music Palace, Talca. Nine contestants representing nine cities competed for the title, of whom the representative of La Florida, Nicole Ebnerand, was named the winner. She then represented Chile at Miss Grand International 2017 held on October 25 in Vietnam, but got a non-placement.

Miss Grand Curaçao is a national title given to a woman chosen to represent Curaçao at the Miss Grand International pageant. Silvienne Winklaar, the winner of the Miss Grand Curaçao 2014 pageant, was the first Curaçaoan to compete in the mentioned pageant. Since 2019, the right to send Curaçaoan representatives to compete at the Miss Grand International belonged to the Miss Curaçao organizer, Curaçao Beauty Pageant Committee, which was led by Ayshel Maria.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Uganda</span> Ugandan beauty pageant title

Miss Grand Uganda is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Ugandan representatives competing at the Miss Grand International contest. The first titleholder was a 26-year-old model Pierra Akwero who was assigned to compete at the inaugural edition of Miss Grand International in Thailand in 2013. Since 2022, the license to send Ugandan candidates to join the mentioned international contest has belonged to the Oliver Nakakande Foundation.

Miss Universe 2024 will be the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, to be held in Mexico for the first time since 2007. Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor at the end of the event.
