Lee County is a county located in east central Alabama. As of the 2020 census the population was 174,241. The county seat is Opelika, and the largest city is Auburn. The county was established in 1866 and is named for General Robert E. Lee (1807–1870), who served as General in Chief of the Armies of the Confederate States in 1865. Lee County comprises the Auburn-Opelika, AL Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Columbus-Auburn-Opelika, GA-AL Combined Statistical Area.
Russell County is a county in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2020 census, the population was 59,183. Its county seat is Phenix City. Its name is in honor of Colonel Gilbert C. Russell, who fought in the wars against the Creek Indians.

New York City Hall is the seat of New York City government, located at the center of City Hall Park in the Civic Center area of Lower Manhattan, between Broadway, Park Row, and Chambers Street. Constructed from 1803 to 1812, the building is the oldest city hall in the United States that still houses its original governmental functions. The Asa White House, also known as the White-McGiffert House, is a historic house in Eutaw, Alabama, United States. It was built in 1838 by Asa White, one of Greene County's earliest settlers. Eutaw was established on property owned by Asa White. He conveyed 20 acres (8.1 ha) to the newly established county seat in 1838 for the building of a courthouse, civic buildings, and a commercial district. He then sold residential lots to individuals. His house is a two-story frame building. It was built in the Federal style and later altered with the addition of Greek Revival-influenced details. The house was recorded by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1936. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a part of the Antebellum Homes in Eutaw Thematic Resource on April 2, 1982, due to its architectural significance.
Downtown Columbus, Georgia, also called "Uptown", is the central business district of the city of Columbus, Georgia. The commercial and governmental heart of the city has traditionally been toward the eastern end of Downtown Columbus, between 10th Street and 1st Avenue. The Joseph T. Smitherman Historic Building, also known by a variety of other names throughout its history, is a historic Greek Revival building in Selma, Alabama. Completed in 1847, it has served many functions in the more than 160 years of its existence. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 20, 1975, due to its architectural and historical significance. It currently houses the Vaughan-Smitherman Museum, a museum depicting Selma's history.

The St. Stephens Courthouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Washington County Courthouse and also known as the St. Stephens Masonic Lodge, is a historic former courthouse building in St. Stephens, Alabama. The Alabama Legislature authorized construction of the building in 1853 to serve as headquarters for the government of Washington County. The building was completed in 1854 and served as the county courthouse until 1907, when the county seat was moved to Chatom. It served a variety of purposes after that, until being restored in 2000 by the St. Stephens Historical Commission for use as a visitor center and local history museum.
The former Merrimack County Courthouse stands at 163 North Main Street in Concord, New Hampshire, the state capital and county seat of Merrimack County. The oldest part of the courthouse building is a brick and granite two story structure, completed in 1857 to serve as a town hall and court building. The city and county used the building for town offices and county courts until 1904, when the city sold its interest in the building to the county. Between 1905 and 1907 the building was extensively remodeled to plans by local architect George S. Forrest. The courthouse has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979. As of 2018, a new courthouse had been constructed to the rear of the building, and county offices were to be moved into the original building.

The Old Girard High School was a historic building in Phenix City, Alabama. It was built in 1909 on the site of Girard's first school dating from 1867. At first it housed only an elementary school, but expanded in 1923 to include a high school. The school closed in 1970 and was merged into Central High School. The building was a two-story Neoclassical structure built of brick. The façade had a central, gabled three-bay projection with entrances on each side. Windows were two-over-two double-hung sashes. A rear wing was added around 1950.
The Phenix City Post Office Building is a historic building in Phenix City, Alabama. It was built in 1938 by the Public Works Administration. The building was used as a post office until 1963, when it was donated to the city for use as a library. The Phenix City–Russell County Library occupied the building until 1998 when a new, larger building was completed. A private museum was operated in the building until 2017, when it was sold to the county.
