The Season seven 2022 Hawthorn Football Club season is the club's 1st season in the AFL Women's, the 1st season playing home games at the Box Hill City Oval, the 1st season playing home games at Frankston Park, Bec Goddard was appointed as the 1st coach of Hawthorn, [1] and Tilly Lucas-Rodd was appointed the 1st captain. The AFL Women's season seven will be the 7th season of the AFL Women's competition since its inception in 2017; having entered the competition in 2022, it is the 1st season contested by the Hawthorn Football Club. KFC, and Nature Valley are the clubs two major partners. [3] [4]
12 August 2021 – Bec Goddard is appointed as the club's inaugural coach. [1]
21 January 2022 – Mitch Cashion is appointed as the club's list manager. [5]
5 May 2022 – Hawthorn announces they have signed Olivia Knowles as High performance manager, and Keegan Brooksby as strategy and opposition coach. [6]
5 May 2022 – Hawthorn announces that KFC has signed on as a partner for four seasons. [3]
10 June 2022 – Nature Valley signs with Hawthorn as a partner. [4]
10 June 2022 – Cherie O'Neill, Lou Wotton, David McKay, and Brady Grey are announced as assistant coaches. [7]
8 August 2022 – Tilly Lucas-Rodd is announced as the clubs inaugural captain, Jess Duffin is appointed the vice–captain, while Louise Stephenson and Tamara Luke round out the leadership group. [2]
14 August 2022 – Due to ticket demand, Hawthorns round 1 game against Essendon was moved to Marvel Stadium. [8]
18 October 2022 – Vice-captain Jess Duffin announces her retirement at the end of the season. [9]

Brendan Whitecross is a former Australian rules football player who played with the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League.
Jessica Evelyn Duffin is an Australian sportswoman. In cricket, she has made 117 international appearances and won four world championships as a member of the Australian women's team. A right-handed batter with a reputation as a big game performer, Duffin was named Player of the Final in both the 2012 ICC Women's World Twenty20 and 2013 Women's Cricket World Cup tournaments. She also won the 2013 Belinda Clark Award for being adjudged Australia's best international women's cricketer over the previous year. Her domestic career has included playing for Victoria in the Women's National Cricket League and captaining the Melbourne Renegades in the Women's Big Bash League.
Catherine Brown is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. Brown is also a former soccer player, who last played for Canberra United in the Australian W-League.

They were the inaugural Hawthorn best and fairest winner, and have served as Hawthorn captain since season seven.
The 2019 Hawthorn Football Club season was the club's 95th season in the Australian Football League and 118th overall, the 20th season playing home games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the 19th season playing home games at the University of Tasmania Stadium, the 15th season under head coach Alastair Clarkson, and the 1st season with Ben Stratton as club captain. A 19-point loss to Sydney in round 14 meant that Hawthorn could not match their 15–7 record from 2018. A 70-point win over Gold Coast meant that for a tenth-consecutive season Hawthorn won at least 10 games. Hawthorn finished the season in ninth-place with a 11–11 record, thus missing the finals for the second time in the last three seasons.
