He has also served as the State Vice Chairman of PKR of Perak since January 2019 and also served as the State Youth Chief of PKR of Perak.
Dato' Manickam a/l Letchuman is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan from May 2013 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018 as well as Member of the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Jeram Padang from May 2013 to August 2023. The 13th Kedah state election was held on 5 May 2013. Polling took place in 36 constituencies throughout the Malaysian state of Kedah,with each electing a State Assemblyman to the Kedah State Legislative Assembly. The election was conducted by the Malaysian Election Commission. The state election was held concurrently with the 2013 Malaysian general election.

She served as Member of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ). She is a member and Division Women Chief of Gombak of the National Trust Party (AMANAH),a component party of the PH coalition. She has also served as the Deputy Women Chief of AMANAH since December 2023. She is also presently one of the only two AMANAH Selangor EXCO Members alongside Izham Hashim,one of the only two female Selangor EXCO Members alongside Jamaliah Jamaluddin and the daughter of former Hulu Kelang MLA Saari Sungib.
