Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Kochi is a premier, first grade Arts, Science, and Commerce College affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It was established in 1944.

In the year 2000, the college was accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) at the Five Star level, and in 2013 it was re accredited at the A level.[ citation needed ] It has 21 undergraduate and 20 postgraduate programmes, 1 Integrated PG programme and a range of diploma and certificate courses. The college has three campuses in Thevara: Lakeview Campus (Main Campus), East Campus, and Media Campus (SH School of Communication). The current Principal is Rev. Dr. Jose John CMI.

Sacred Heart College, Thevara was established in 1944 by the Sacred Heart Monastery, Thevara, a unit of the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) Congregation.[ citation needed ] In 1958 the college was affiliated to the University of Kerala.[ citation needed ] In 1983 the college comes under Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.[ citation needed ] In 2014, the college became one of the first five autonomous colleges in Kerala. Sree Narayana College, Nattika is a Government aided college in Nattika, Thrissur District of Kerala, India. It was founded in the name of Sree Narayana Guru in 1967. It is affiliated to the University of Calicut.

St. Paul's College, Kalamassery located at Kochi was founded by Joseph Attipetty, the late Archbishop of Verapoly to commemorate the historic visit of Pope Paul VI to India in connection with the 38th International Eucharistic Congress held in November - December 1964. The foundation stone of the college was blessed by the pope on 3 December 1964 and was solemnly laid by Samuel Mathai, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kerala in the presence of Joseph Attipetty on 13 February 1965. Out of his filial devotion to the Pope, the founder desired that the college be named after the Apostle Paul, the patron saint of the Pope.

Mar Thoma College, Chungathara was established in 1981, by the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. It is situated at Chungathara, Malappuram district, and is affiliated to University of Calicut.
