Sammy Sum Chun-hin (born 4 May 1983) is an actor based in Hong Kong.

Biography

Sammy Sum speaks fluent Hong Kong Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, Canadian French and North American English. He was born in Hong Kong, but at the age of 10 Sum moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada with his family, where he spent all of his adolescent years until his early 20s. He moved back to Hong Kong in his mid 20s and entered the TVB entertainment business including starring in Hong Kong films. [1]

In 2006, Sum auditioned for TVbeople, a talent casting system hosted by TVB, and was selected to sign a two-year artiste contract with the company along with six other winners. Before acting in dramas, he joined TVB's acting classes and graduated from TVB's 22nd Artiste Training Class of 2007.

In 2014, Sum gained recognition with his performance in the crime drama Line Walker , for which he was nominated for Most Improved Male Artiste at the TVB Anniversary Awards.

<i>Tiger Cubs</i> (TV series)

Tiger Cubs, alternatively titled Special Duties Unit, is a Hong Kong police procedural television series produced by Lam Chi-wah and TVB. It stars Joe Ma, Jessica Hsuan, Him Law, Oscar Leung, Vincent Wong, Mandy Wong, Benjamin Yuen and William Chak as casts of the first installment. It premiered on Sunday, 24 June 2012 on Jade and HD Jade, and was the first TVB drama to broadcast in the Sunday night time slot since 1995's File of Justice. Two of a Kind is a 1989 Hong Kong modern teen television drama created and produced by TVB, starring Hacken Lee, Paul Wong, Yu Sin Man, Cutie Mui, Steve Wong, Aaron Kwok, Paul Chun, Kiki Sheung as the main cast and was produced by popular TVB producer Mui Siu-ching. First original broadcast began on Hong Kong's Jade channel July 10 till July 21, 1989 every Monday through Friday during its 7:35 to 8:35 pm timeslot with a total of 10 episodes.

Law Lok-lam is a veteran Hong Kong character actor currently under Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) management. A versatile actor who has acted in many Hong Kong television dramas since the 1970s. He has been in so many dramas that he became internationally known as "the actor that died 5 times in one day or 24 hours" when five dramas he starred in were broadcast on the same day showing him in dying scenes. Law originally joined TVB in 1976 as a film extra, but left the same year to return to rival station Commercial Television (CTV). Almost a decade with another rival station Asia Television (ATV), he returned to TVB in 1990. He was one of five artistes awarded the "TVB Professional Actor Awards" in 2014 for his many years as a dedicated TVB employee.
