Ford Heights is a village and a suburb of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2020 census. Many of the area’s first settlers were African American and since its incorporation in 1949 the village has remained predominantly Black. Due to the lack of commercial activity and financial stability, the village has declined over the years. Urban renewal efforts were attempted in the 1960s, although the village has continued to decline.
Wheeling is a village in Cook and Lake counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. A suburb of Chicago, it is primarily in Cook County, approximately 23 mi (37 km) northwest of downtown Chicago. Per the 2020 census, the population was 39,137. Wheeling is named for Wheeling, West Virginia.

Steger School District 194 is a school district based in the village of Steger, Illinois, a Chicago suburb located in the extreme southern reaches of Cook County, and the northern portion of Will County. The district is composed of one middle school and three elementary schools; all schools are located in Steger with the exception of one. District students in grades that range between kindergarten and fourth grade attend one of the three elementary schools. Worth School District 127 is an elementary school district based in Worth, a southern Chicago suburb located in Cook County, Illinois. District 127 is composed of two elementary schools, one junior high school, and a preschool institution; all schools are located within the village of Worth. Students may begin their careers in the district as preschoolers at Worthridge School. They may alternatively enter the district as kindergarteners in either Worth Elementary School or Worthwoods Elementary School, which serve kindergarteners and students between grades one and five under, respectively, principals Joe Zampillo and Tim Hathhorn. South Holland School District 150 is an elementary school district in South Holland, a village located in Cook County just south of the city of Chicago. It is composed of three schools: two elementary schools and one junior high school; all three schools are located within South Holland, although the junior high school and one of the elementary school are located in the same facility. Students begin their education as prekindergarteners or kindergarteners in Greenwood Elementary School, where under supervision of principal William Kolloway, students will remain until graduating from grade three. Students then progress to McKinley Elementary School under principal jerome Pharrel where students in grades four and five are educated. South Holland School District 151 is an elementary school district in South Holland, a Chicago suburb located in southern Cook County, Illinois. It is composed of four schools; three elementary schools and one junior high school. Students begin their education in the district at Taft School; prekindergarteners, kindergarteners, and first graders are educated here under supervision of principal Christine Wilson. Students then proceed to Eisenhower School, where they will remain until third grade; the school's principal is Mr. Peter Kolinski. The third and final elementary school in the district educates fourth and fifth graders, and is called Madison School; Madison's principal is Dr. Jerald McNair. East Prairie School District 73 is an elementary school district located in the northern Cook County Chicago suburb of Skokie. The district is composed of a single facility, known as East Prairie Elementary School. East Prairie Elementary School educates all students in or below grade eight, and also runs a prekindergarten program. The district, in all, has 42 teachers: twelve of those teachers teach primary school students, eight of the teachers teach intermediate school students, another twelve teachers further the education of middle school students, nine teachers lead electives classes, and one last teacher educates the staff on various topics surrounding technology.

Western Springs School District 101 is an elementary school district located in the affluent central Cook County village of Western Springs, Illinois, which is a Chicago suburb. Students may begin their education as prekindergarteners in John Laidlaw Elementary School or Forest Hills Elementary School, where they will remain until grade five; the principals of the schools are, respectively, Sarah L. Coffey and D. A. Farrell. Alternatively, students may enter prekindergarten at McClure Junior High School before starting kindergarten in principal Brad Promisel's Field Park Elementary School, which accommodates its students until grade five, as with the other elementary schools. Brookwood School District 167 is an elementary school district based in the southern Cook County, Illinois village of Glenwood; it serves a periphery of the city of Chicago. The district is composed of two elementary schools, one middle school, and one junior high school; all schools are located within Glenwood. Students begin their education at either Hickory Bend Elementary School or Longwood Elementary School; both institutions serve students up to grade four, although Longwood includes a prekindergarten program. Students later attend Brookwood Middle School from fifth through sixth grade before completing their education in the district at Brookwood Junior High School, which serves grades seven and eight. Peoria Heights Community Unit District 325 is the unit school district of Peoria Heights and an adjacent area of Peoria along Illinois Route 29 and the Illinois River to the north, all in Peoria County, Illinois.
