Brookwood School District 167 is an elementary school district based in the southern Cook County, Illinois village of Glenwood; it serves a periphery of the city of Chicago. The district is composed of two elementary schools, one middle school, and one junior high school; all schools are located within Glenwood. [1] Students begin their education at either Hickory Bend Elementary School or Longwood Elementary School; both institutions serve students up to grade four, although Longwood includes a prekindergarten program. [1] Students later attend Brookwood Middle School from fifth through sixth grade before completing their education in the district at Brookwood Junior High School, which serves grades seven and eight. Western Springs School District 101 is an elementary school district located in the affluent central Cook County village of Western Springs, Illinois, which is a Chicago suburb. The district is composed of four schools: three are elementary schools and one is a junior high school, and all four are located in the village of Western Springs. Students may begin their education as prekindergarteners in John Laidlaw Elementary School or Forest Hills Elementary School, where they will remain until grade five; the principals of the schools are, respectively, Sarah L. Coffey and D. A. Farrell. Alternatively, students may enter prekindergarten at McClure Junior High School before starting kindergarten in principal Brad Promisel's Field Park Elementary School, which accommodates its students until grade five, as with the other elementary schools. Canyons School District is a school district in the southeastern portion of Salt Lake County in Utah, United States. The district includes the cities of Cottonwood Heights, Draper, Midvale and Sandy and the townships of Alta, Brighton and White City. Residents of those communities voted to create the district in 2007, making Canyons the first school district to be formed in the state in almost a century. Canyons has approximately 34,000 students in 50 schools. There are 29 elementary schools, eight middle schools, five traditional high schools, and eight special programs schools, including one technical school, a special education school and a high school for adults in prison. The district covers 192 square miles and employs 6,000 people.
