Sardasht (Persian : سردشت is a city in, and the capital of, Rudasht District [a] of Lordegan County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. It also serves as the administrative center for Sardasht Rural District. The city is a merger of the former villages of Abza-ye Sardasht, Bar Aftab-e Sardasht, Mazeh-ye Sardasht, and Sakht-e Sardasht. [4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the population (as the combined populations of its predecessor villages), was 2,875 in 517 households, when it was in Sardasht Rural District of the Central District. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,698 people in 746 households. [6] The 2016 census measured the population as 5,691 people in 1,184 households, [2] by which time four villages had merged to create the new city and the rural district had been separated from the district in the formation of Rudasht District. [4]
