He was also rewarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz Award on 23 March 2018 for his notable literary services.

Mah e Mir is a 2016 Pakistani biographical film directed by Anjum Shahzad, produced by Khurram Rana, Sahir Rasheed, Badar Ikram and written by Sarmad Sehbai. The film is based on the life of the famous poet Mir Taqi Mir, role played by Fahad Mustafa. Film also stars Iman Ali, Sanam Saeed, Alyy Khan and Manzar Sehbai in lead roles. It was the official submission by the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee as the country's entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards but it was not nominated.
Tahira Naqvi was a Pakistani actress who began her career in 70s and worked until her death at the age of 25. She became popular by appearing in several television series and two films in her career spanning a few years. She was known as Mistress of Emotions because she portrayed roles of sentiment, nostalgia and despondent in dramas. Tahira along with Uzma Gillani, Khalida Riyasat and Roohi Bano dominated Pakistan's television screens during the 1970s and 1980s.
Nasreen Anjum Bhatti (1943–2016) was a bilingual poet, painter, radio producer and broadcaster, peace and political and rights activist and researcher. Bhatti was a progressive poet who struggled against dictatorship.
