The Second Tarlev Cabinet was the Cabinet of Moldova from 19 April 2005 to 31 March 2008. It was the second government led by Vasile Tarlev who was the Prime Minister of Moldova from 2001 to 2008.

The Sighet Prison, located in the city of Sighetu Marmației, Maramureș County, Romania, was used by Romania to hold criminals, prisoners of war, and political prisoners. It is now the site of the Sighet Memorial Museum, part of the Memorial of the Victims of Communism.
Ion Morei is a Moldovan attorney. He was the Minister of Justice of Moldova in the first cabinet (2001–2005) of Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev. He served from April 19, 2001, until February 12, 2003, when he was replaced as minister by Vasile Dolghieru.
Zinaida Greceanîi is a Moldovan politician. She was the President of the Moldovan Parliament between 8 June 2019 to 26 July 2021. Greceanîi was previously also the Prime Minister of Moldova from 31 March 2008 to 14 September 2009. She led the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) from 2016 to 2020 and was previously a member of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM). She was Moldova's first female Prime Minister and was the second female Communist head of government in Europe, preceded only by Premier Milka Planinc of former Yugoslavia. She has been referred to by her colleagues in PSRM as the "Moldovan Margaret Thatcher".

Marian Lupu is a Moldovan economist and politician who was the President of the Parliament of Moldova between 2010 and 2013. From this position he served as Acting President of Moldova from 2010 until 2012.
Parliamentary elections were held in the Moldavian SSR in February and March 1990 to elect the 380 members of the Supreme Soviet. They were the first and only free elections to the Supreme Soviet of the MSSR, and although the Communist Party of Moldova was the only registered party allowed to contest the election, opposition candidates were allowed to run as independents. Together with affiliated groups, the Popular Front of Moldova won a landslide victory. Candidates who were openly supporters of the Popular Front won about 27% of seats; together with moderate Communists, mainly from rural districts, they commanded a majority.

The Order of the Republic is Moldova's highest order. It is awarded by the President of Moldova for exceptional merits in all fields which benefit Moldova and humanity as a whole. The order was established in July 1992 and its collar and badge are made from silver.

The Cabinet consisted of ministers from the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, the Democratic Party of Moldova, and the Liberal Party, who together formed the Alliance for European Integration. It was the second government to be led by Vlad Filat who was prime minister from 2009 until 2013. The Cabinet was installed after a successful vote of confidence held in the Parliament of Moldova on 14 January 2011.
The Leancă Cabinet was the Cabinet of Moldova from 30 May 2013 to 18 February 2015. The Cabinet consisted of ministers from the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), the Democratic Party (PDM), and the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR), a splinter group from the Liberal Party (PL), who together formed the Pro-European Coalition. The Cabinet was installed after a successful vote of confidence held in the Parliament of Moldova on May 30, 2013.

The Order of Honour is a state order of the Republic of Moldova established by Parliament of Moldova in 2002, which is awarded by presidential decree. It is the fourth highest distinction of Moldova, after Order of the Republic, Order of Ştefan cel Mare, Order of Bogdan the Founder, and just before the Order of Loyalty to the Homeland. The Order of Honour can be awarded also to organizations, institutions, etc.
