The Shakey's V-League 13th Season Open Conference was the 26th conference of the Shakey's V-League and the first conference for its 13th season. The conference commenced on May 22, 2016 with an opening ceremony at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan. The first games were on May 28, 2016, also at the same venue. [2]
The previous season's conference champion, PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters, and runner-up Philippine Army Lady Troopers, decided to forgo their participation in this year's Open Conference.
There were eight (8) competing teams for this conference: NU Lady Bulldogs, UP Lady Maroons, Pocari Sweat, Team Laoag, Team Baguio, Team Iriga, Bali Pure and Philippine Air Force Air Spikers.

The Shakey's V-League 10th Season: 1st Conference is the eighteenth conference of Shakey's V-League, a collegiate women's volleyball league in the Philippines founded in 2004. The opening ceremonies was held on April 7, 2013 with the first doubleheader of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. There are three new teams who are participating in this season, they are the Arellano University Lady Chiefs, De La Salle University - Dasmariñas Lady Patriots, and the University of San Carlos Lady Warriors. This three new teams will face the seven current participating teams like ADMU, AdU, UST, NU, SSC-R, UPHSD and CSJL.
Alyssa Caymo Valdez is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was a member of the collegiate varsity women's volleyball team of Ateneo de Manila University in both indoor and beach volleyball. She was most outstanding as an indoor volleyball player where she brought multiple championship titles and a lot of honor for the university. She is a current member of Philippines national team. Her global recognition paved the way for her to play in other countries like Thailand for 3BB Nakornnont and Taiwan for Attack Line Volleyball Club.
Michele Theresa Imperial Gumabao is a Filipino volleyball player and beauty pageant titleholder. She is currently signed to the Creamline Cool Smashers of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), and has previously played for teams in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). She was named "Best opposite spiker" five times in her professional career and was the Finals MVP in the 2016 Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference.
The Philippine Air Force women's volleyball team is the official women's volleyball team of the Philippine Air Force. It competes in various tournaments, including the Premier Volleyball League, where it is known as the Philippine Air Force Jet Spikers and formerly, Philippine Air Force Air Spikers. The team is composed of enlisted personnel and reinforced with civilian players from time to time.
Angeline Marie Gervacio, also known as Dzi Gervacio, is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a former Ateneo Lady Eagles player and plays for the Petro Gazz Angels. She is known as the Queen of Jump Serve.
The Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Premier Volleyball League. The team was owned by Federated Distributors, Inc., exclusive distributors of Pocari Sweat in the Philippines.
The BaliPure Purest Water Defenders are a professional volleyball club sponsored by Balibago Waterworks System, Inc. playing in the Premier Volleyball League. The team debuted in the league's 13th Season Open Conference.

The 2016 Shakey's V-League season was the thirteenth and last season for the Shakey's V-League. The succeeding tournaments were named as the Philippine V-League and then ultimately the Premier Volleyball League. There were three indoor conferences for this season.

The Shakey's V-League was a non-professional volleyball league in the Philippines that started in 2004. It began as a women's collegiate league with teams coming from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation (CESAFI), among others. Since 2011, corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams have also participated in the league.

Grand Fans Day was held at the Trinoma Activity Center, Quezon City on April 25, 2019. Games were held at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan, Philippines. Philippine Army returned as Pacific Town-Army Lady Troopers and Motolite Power Builders returned with a new set of players.
