The BaliPure Purest Water Defenders are a professional volleyball club sponsored by Balibago Waterworks System, Inc. playing in the Premier Volleyball League (formerly, Shakey's V-League). The team debuted in the league's 13th Season Open Conference. [1] [2]

Alyssa Caymo Valdez is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was a member of the collegiate varsity women's volleyball team of Ateneo de Manila University in both indoor and beach volleyball. She was most outstanding as an indoor volleyball player where she brought multiple championship titles and a lot of honor for the university. She is a current member of Philippines national team. Her global recognition paved the way for her to play in other countries like Thailand for 3BB Nakornnont and Taiwan for Attack Line Volleyball Club.

The Philippine Super Liga was a non-professional corporate club women's volleyball league in the Philippines. It was first organized by SportsCore Event Management and Consultancy, Inc. and later owned by Athletic Events & Sports Management Group (ACES), Inc. The league was envisioned to provide former collegiate players a league with which they can continue with their volleyball career.

The Lady Troopers competes in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and has won two Shakey's V-League championships.

Maria Rosario "Charo" Soriano is a Filipino volleyball player, coach, and politician. Soriano is one of the founders of Beach Volleyball Republic, an outdoor volleyball tournament, and a board member of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation. The Shakey's V-League 13th Season Open Conference was the 26th conference of the Shakey's V-League and the first conference for its 13th season. The conference commenced on May 22, 2016 with an opening ceremony at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan. The first games were on May 28, 2016, also at the same venue.

The 2016 Shakey's V-League season was the thirteenth and last season for the Shakey's V-League. The succeeding tournaments were named as the Philippine V-League and then ultimately the Premier Volleyball League. There were three indoor conferences for this season.

The 2021 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season was the fourth season of the Premier Volleyball League and the first season of the PVL as a professional league. No tournament was held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2021 season was staged with precautionary measures.
