Sherlock & Daughter is an upcoming mystery television series created by Brendan Foley, and based on the Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It will air on The CW and Discovery+.
Sherlock Holmes becomes embroiled in a malevolent conspiracy involving his archenemy Professor Moriarty, and ends up joining forces with Amelia Rojas, a young American woman whose mother was recently murdered. As they work together to crack the case, Amelia comes to suspect that the great detective might be her long lost father.

The series was announced in February 2024, along with the casting of Thewlis, Hunt and Scott. [3] The series was created by Brendan Foley, who will act as executive producer alongside showrunner James Duff. Micah Wright, Shelly Goldstein, and Foley will provide the scripts. [4]
Filming took place in Dublin in April 2024, with North Great George's Street being used for exterior shooting. [5] Filming also occurred in County Wicklow. [6]

Sherlock & Daughter is due to air on January 1, 2025. [8] It will be broadcast by The CW in the US, whilst Discovery+ will air the series in the UK and Ireland. [9]

Irene Adler is a fictional character in the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A former opera singer and actress, she was featured in the short story "A Scandal in Bohemia", published in July 1891. Adler is one of the most notable female characters in the Sherlock Holmes series, despite appearing in only one story. Enola Holmes 2 is a 2022 mystery film and the sequel to the 2020 film Enola Holmes, both of which star Millie Bobby Brown as the title character, the teenage sister of the already-famous Victorian-era detective Sherlock Holmes. The film is directed by Harry Bradbeer from a screenplay by Jack Thorne that adapts the book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer. Unlike the film's predecessor, it does not adapt one of Springer's novels and instead takes real-life inspiration from the 1888 matchgirls' strike. In addition to Brown, Henry Cavill, Louis Partridge, Susie Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, and Helena Bonham Carter reprise their supporting roles, while David Thewlis and Sharon Duncan-Brewster join the cast.
