Shruti Haasan is an Indian actress and singer who works in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil films. [1] She started her career as a playback singer at the age of six in the 1992 Tamil film Thevar Magan . [2] She had a brief role in her father, Kamal Haasan's Tamil-Hindi directorial Hey Ram (2000) as a child artist. [3] Haasan's first major appearance was in the Hindi film Luck (2009), in which she played a dual role of a woman avenging her twin sister's death. [4] She played the female lead in the films Anaganaga O Dheerudu and 7aum Arivu ; both were released in 2011 and together earned her the Best Female Debut – South at the 59th Filmfare Awards South ceremony. [5]
Haasan's subsequent releases Oh My Friend (2011) and 3 (2012) were commercially unsuccessful. [6] [7] The latter earned her a nomination for the Best Actress – Tamil at the 60th Filmfare Awards South ceremony. [8] A turning point came in Haasan's career with Harish Shankar 's commercially successful Telugu film Gabbar Singh (2012). [9] The release was followed by a series of successful films such as Balupu (2013) and Yevadu (2014). [10] [11] She received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu for her performance in Race Gurram (2014). [12]
In 2015, Haasan played the female lead in five films: Gabbar Is Back and Welcome Back in Hindi, Srimanthudu in Telugu, and Puli and Vedalam in Tamil. Except Puli, the rest of the releases achieved commercial success. [13] [14] [15] She earned a nomination for the Best Actress – Telugu award at the 63rd Filmfare Awards South ceremony for her performance in Srimanthudu. [16] The following year, she had two releases: Rocky Handsome and Premam . The latter, a Telugu remake of the 2015 Malayalam-language film of the same name, drew criticism for Haasan's casting before its release. [17] [18] She played the role of a young college lecturer with a slightly stern approach towards her students. [19] The remake gained positive critical reception, [20] and earned average returns. [21] Her Tamil film Si3 had a delayed theatrical release in 2017; it was a commercial success. [22]

Parthasarathy Srinivasan, known professionally as Kamal Haasan, is an Indian actor, film director, film producer, screenwriter, choreographer, playback singer, lyricist, television presenter, social activist and politician who works in Tamil cinema. Besides Tamil films, he has also appeared in some Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Bengali films. Haasan is also known for introducing many new technologies to Tamil cinema. He has won numerous accolades, including four National Film Awards, nine Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, four Nandi Awards, one Rashtrapati Award, two Filmfare Awards and eighteen Filmfare Awards South. He was awarded the Kalaimamani Award in 1984, the Padma Shri in 1990, the Padma Bhushan in 2014 and the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier) in 2016.

Shruti Hassan and Lakshmi Manchu made their Telugu debut through this film.

Premam (transl. Love) is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language coming of age romance film written, directed and edited by Alphonse Puthren. It was produced by Anwar Rasheed and stars Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi. She made her acting debut with the 2015 Malayalam film Premam, and Tamil debut with Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016), and in Telugu with Premam (2016) and in Kannada with Kotigobba 3 (2021).

Krack (KRACꞰ) is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Gopichand Malineni, who wrote the script with the dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra. It stars Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Samuthirakani, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Produced by B. Madhu under Saraswathi Films Division banner and based on multiple true incidents that took place in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film depicts the conflict between a circle inspector and a gangster. The film's narrative style is inspired from 2018 Kannada film Tagaru.
Srimanthudu is the soundtrack to the 2014 film of the same name directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment. Starring Mahesh Babu, Shruti Haasan, Jagapati Babu and Rajendra Prasad, with Sampath Raj, Mukesh Rishi, Sukanya and Harish Uthaman in supporting roles, the film featured six songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad with lyrics written by Ramajogayya Sastry and Prasad co-writing the lyrics for the song "Charuseela". Raju Sundaram, Dinesh Kumar and Bosco–Caesar handled the choreography for the song sequences. The soundtrack was released by Aditya Music on 18 July 2015.
