Sindonews TV is an Indonesian news television 24-hour satellite and cable station by Media Nusantara Citra. The station broadcasts news programs, talk shows, and sports news.
Sindonews TV first appeared under the name MNC News (or MNC News Channel). This channel was launched on 1 March 2006. [1] MNC News can only be viewed on Media Nusantara Citra's subscription television providers such as Indovision, MNC Play, and K-Vision; and was also available terrestrially on several local TV stations throughout Indonesia, such as CTV on Jabodetabek. [2]
The MNC News program itself, apart from being special programs, also includes rebroadcasts of the main news programs broadcast on the 4 MNC television networks. ( Seputar iNews from RCTI, Buletin iNews from GTV, Lintas iNews from MNCTV and iNews Daily from iNews). [3] [4] This rebroadcast itself has been running since this channel first appeared, and has even become the majority of the composition of the MNC News program schedule to date. Previously, this channel also filled its broadcast time from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM WIB by relaying local Global TV broadcasts. [5] In September 2016, MNC News aired an information program about newspapers and print media in collaboration with Koran Sindo is Koran Sindo on TV in Good Morning Indonesia, One on One, and Indonesia Bicara.
As of 1 July 2023, MNC News changed its name to Sindonews TV. Sindonews TV can be said to replace or encompass the broadcast concept of Sindo TV, which has now become iNews. [6] [7]
