Plot
A kind and good king and his lovely and gentle queen in a faraway kingdom. They are the joy of the kingdom and their love brings happiness to the land and all its people. They have a beautiful daughter blessed with lips as red as blood, hair as black as ebony, and skin as white as snow, and name her "Snow White." Sadly, shortly after Snow White was born, her mother, the queen, dies of a mysterious illness, and the king remarries.
Although the new queen is truly beautiful, she is a vain and evil woman. When the king dies while fighting in a war in a faraway land, the new queen does not shed a single tear and uses the opportunity to tax the people heavily in order to buy new beauty potions for herself. She has many mirrors in which to see her beautiful face, but her favorite one is a magic mirror which always speaks the absolute truth. Whenever the vain queen asks the mirror who the fairest in the land is, she always expects to be told that it is her.
One day, however, the Evil Queen is shocked to hear a new answer, that Snow White is the fairest in the land. Angered, the Evil Queen sends for her royal huntsman and orders him to murder Snow White so that she can be the fairest in the land once again. The Huntsman, unable to harm Snow White, tells her to run deep into the dark forest and never return. Snow White, frightened, obeys and runs through the scary woods. While running, she bumps into a handsome young prince hunting in the forest. He immediately falls in love with her, but she is more concerned about getting as far away from her stepmother as possible. The prince vows to see her again and hopes to marry her.
Snow White continues to run until she finds a small cottage in the midst of the forest. Tired by the shock, Snow White decides to enter the cottage, have something to eat and take some rest on the small beds. Shortly after Snow White falls asleep, the owners of the cottage, seven little dwarfs appear and are surprised by their visitor. Snow White convinces them to allow her to stay in their cottage.
Unfortunately, the Evil Queen soon learns from her magic mirror about the huntsman's betrayal and that Snow White is still alive, so she decides to take it upon herself to kill the princess. The Evil Queen goes to the dwarfs' cottage in disguise to kill Snow White. The first time she goes as an old beggar woman and ties laces around Snow White's neck, which makes her unable to breathe. However, the Dwarfs come home and untie the laces, saving Snow White's life. The second time the Evil Queen goes disguised as old man and puts a poison comb in Snow White's hair, but the Dwarfs come to Snow White's rescue once again. The third time the Evil Queen is disguised as a little girl selling apples. She offers Snow White half of a poisoned apple, and when Snow White bites into it, she falls to the ground, seemingly dead. This time, the dwarfs are unable to save Snow White.
Heartbroken, they place her in a glass casket. The prince finds Snow White lying in her glass casket and asks the dwarfs if she could be taken to his castle, for he hopes to find someone to revive her. When his servants lift Snow White out of the casket, a piece of poisoned apple falls from Snow White's mouth and she awakens. Upon learning that Snow White is alive, the Evil Queen flies into a terrible rage and begins smashing all her mirrors. When she tries to smash her magic mirror, it comes to life and traps her in its realm forever, and she is never seen again. Snow White and the prince are married and they live happily ever after.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a 1937 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and originally released by RKO Radio Pictures. Based on the 1812 German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, it is the first full-length cel animated feature film and the earliest Disney animated feature film. The story was adapted by storyboard artists Dorothy Ann Blank, Richard Creedon, Merrill De Maris, Otto Englander, Earl Hurd, Dick Rickard, Ted Sears and Webb Smith. David Hand was the supervising director, while William Cottrell, Wilfred Jackson, Larry Morey, Perce Pearce, and Ben Sharpsteen directed the film's individual sequences.
"Snow White" is a 19th-century German fairy tale that is today known widely across the Western world. The Brothers Grimm published it in 1812 in the first edition of their collection Grimms' Fairy Tales and numbered as Tale 53. The original German title was Sneewittchen, a Low German form, but the first version gave the High German translation Schneeweißchen, and the tale has become known in German by the mixed form Schneewittchen. The Grimms completed their final revision of the story in 1854.

The film is the directorial debut of Rupert Sanders, with a screenplay by Evan Daugherty, John Lee Hancock and Hossein Amini, from a screen story by Daugherty. The cast includes Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, and Bob Hoskins in his final film performance. In the film's retelling of the tale, Snow White grows up imprisoned by her evil stepmother, Queen Ravenna, a powerful sorceress. After Snow White escapes into the forest, Ravenna tells Eric, the Huntsman that she will bring back his dead wife if he captures Snow White.

The Magic Mirror is a mystical object that is featured in the story of Snow White, depicted as either a hand mirror or a wall-mounted mirror. It is used by the Evil Queen in order to find out who is the "fairest of them all". Each time the Evil Queen asks this question, the mirror states "My Queen, you are the fairest of them all", up until it states that Snow White is in fact more fair. This results in the Evil Queen hiring a huntsman to kill Snow White in the contemporary version of the fairy tale.
