[1] Hampton graduated from Western Christian High School in Upland, California in 2017. She then majored in Human Physiology at the University of Oregon, where she also competed in gymnastics. [1]

Professional wrestling career

WWE (2022–present)

Hampton was part of a group of new recruits signed to the WWE Performance Center in March 2022. [4] She had no previous wrestling experience, instead coming from an acrobatics and tumbling background. [1] She made her in-ring debut under the ring name Sol Ruca at a house show in Jacksonville, Florida, on June 24, 2022, [5] teaming with Solo Sikoa to defeat Grayson Waller and Tiffany Stratton. [6] She made her televised debut on the September 27, 2022, episode of NXT 2.0 , defeating Amari Miller. [7] In December, Ruca gained viral fame for her innovative finisher, a springboard backflip cutter dubbed the Sol Snatcher. [8] On the January 24, 2023, episode of NXT, Ruca and Alba Fyre faced Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship in a losing effort. [9] In April, Ruca was one of the wrestlers injured by a mystery assailant. [10] This was done to write her off television as she ruptured her ACL, which required surgery. [11]

Ruca returned from injury at NXT: Roadblock on March 5, 2024, attacking Blair Davenport, who had injured Ruca, during her match against Fallon Henley. [12] On the April 2 episode of NXT, Ruca defeated Davenport. [13] Two weeks later, Davenport cost Ruca her match against Lola Vice after knocking Ruca off the top rope. Later that night backstage, Ruca demanded NXT General Manager Ava to schedule a No Disqualification match against Davenport at Week 1 of Spring Breakin'. Ava accepted the demand and scheduled the match as a Beach Brawl, which Ruca won. [14] [15] At NXT Battleground on June 9, she participated in a six-woman ladder match to crown the inaugural NXT Women's North American Champion, which was won by Kelani Jordan. [16] On the June 25 episode of NXT, Ruca defeated Arianna Grace to earn a title match against Jordan at NXT Heatwave. At the event on July 7, Ruca failed to win the title from Jordan. [17] [18] On the August 20 edition of NXT, Ruca competed in a six-woman gauntlet match to determine the number one contender for Roxanne Perez's NXT Women's Championship at NXT No Mercy. She eliminated Adriana Rizzo and Wren Sinclair during the match, but was defeated by the eventual winner Jaida Parker. [19] At NXT Deadline on December 7, Ruca competed in the Iron Survivor Challenge to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women's Championship, where she would lose. [20] She went on to form a tag team with fellow Iron Survivor Challenge competitor Zaria, teaming up with her on the December 17 episode of NXT in a tag team match against The Meta-Four's Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend in a losing effort. [21]

TNA Wrestling (2024)

On the September 10, 2024 episode of NXT, Sol Ruca answered TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace's championship open challenge, which ended in a no-contest after Ruca and Grace were both taken out by NXT's Wendy Choo and Rosemary. [22] On the September 26 episode of Impact! , Ruca made her TNA Wrestling debut where she teamed with Grace to face Choo and Rosemary in a tag team match. The match ended in a no contest after Tasha Steelz and Masha Slamovich interfered in the match. [23] On the October 10 episode of Impact!, Ruca, Grace and Slamovich defeated Choo, Rosemary and Steelz in a six-woman tag team match. [24]

Personal life

Hampton is currently in a relationship with English professional wrestler Tyler Bate. [25]
