Cockfosters is a suburb of north London to the east of Chipping Barnet, lying partly in the London Borough of Enfield and partly in the London Borough of Barnet. Before 1965, it was in the counties of Middlesex and Hertfordshire.

With the Winchmore Hill conservation area as a focal point, the district is bounded on the east by Green Lanes, Barrowell Green, Firs Lane and Fords Grove, and on the north-west by Grovelands Park; in the south it extends to part of Aldermans Hill, and in the north to Vicars Moor Lane and Houndsden Road. Winchmore Hill is 8.9 miles (14.3 km) north north-east of Charing Cross.

It is a largely residential suburb whose central area contains shops, public houses, restaurants and services, and the parish church of St Mary the Virgin. East Barnet is close to the M25 and the A1 and M1.
Oakwood is a London Underground station. It is the second most northerly station on the Piccadilly line, between Southgate and Cockfosters stations, and is in Travelcard Zone 5. The station is on the edge of the Oakwood area of Enfield (N14) and is situated at the junction of Bramley Road (A110) and Chase Road. This station has step-free access after the upgrades made to the station between October and December 2007.

Osidge has no formal border and is entirely enclosed within the electoral ward of Brunswick Park, East Barnet; however Oak Hill Park forms a natural boundary to the north and Pymmes Brook to the west, with the A111 to the east and the Piccadilly line to the south and/or east.

Arnos Grove is an area of north London, England, within the London Borough of Enfield. It is centred 7.5 miles (12 km) north of Charing Cross. It is adjacent to New Southgate. The natural grove, larger than today, was for many centuries the largest woodland in the chapelry of Southgate in the parish of Edmonton. It became inter-related with Arnos Park when its owner was permitted to enclose much of its area through the widespread legal practice of inclosure of the common land to create the former park, the heart of which is now public parkland.
World's End is an area in the London Borough of Enfield, southwest of Enfield Town, and runs north–south along the western edge of Grange Park.
Laurel Park School, formerly Broomfield School, is a comprehensive secondary school located in Arnos Grove, Enfield, Greater London, which resulted from a merger of Arnos School and Minchenden School. The school is entirely located on the old Arnos School site.
The Fox is a public house in Palmers Green, north London, on the corner of Green Lanes and Fox Lane. A Fox pub and hotel has stood on the site for over 300 years. In 2004, The Fox featured in the film of J.K. Rowling's novel Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. In 2015, The Fox was the first Asset of Community Value to be registered in the London Borough of Enfield.
Chase Side is a road between Cockfosters and Southgate in the London Borough of Enfield. It runs from the junction of Cat Hill, Cockfosters Road and Bramley Road in the north to Southgate Circus in the south and forms part of the boundary with the London Borough of Barnet. Chase Side is named for its former location adjacent to Enfield Chase.
Alan Peter Dumayne was an historian of North London known for his lectures and books on the history of Southgate, Palmers Green, and Winchmore Hill.
Oakwood Park is a public park in Oakwood, in the London Borough of Enfield, on land that was formerly part of Enfield Chase. It opened in 1929 and comprises 64 acres of land. It is notable for its commemorative avenue of poplar trees, an avenue of scarlet oaks planted by mayors of Enfield, and an ice well that was built by Samuel Sugden, on whose estate of Oak Lodge the park was largely built and after which it was named.
William Tash was a landowner in the parish of Edmonton, in the English county of Middlesex, now in Greater London. Educated at Eton College, he married into the Jackson family, thus acquiring Broomfield House and its estate. He held numerous other pieces of land in the parish, and in 1804 was its second largest landowner with 582 acres. He was also lord of the manor of Bowes and Dernsford, and a trustee of the Weld Chapel where he played a significant role in the dispute about the transfer of the living there in 1813. He is remembered in a monument that was transferred to Christ Church when the Weld Chapel was demolished.
