Cagliari Calcio, commonly referred to as Cagliari, is an Italian football club based in Cagliari, Sardinia. In the 2023–24 season, they compete in Serie A. The team are temporarily playing their home games at the 16,416-seat Unipol Domus, the temporary stadium built privately in 2017 in 4 months, adjacent to their future new stadium site.
Unione Sportiva Triestina Calcio 1918, commonly referred to as Triestina, is an Italian football club based in Trieste, Friuli Venezia Giulia. Originally founded in 1918, the club has been re-established several times in its history. As of the 2022–23 season, it plays in Serie C, the third tier of Italian football.
Stadio Comunale Sant'Elia was a football stadium in Cagliari, Italy. It is best known for having been the home of Cagliari Calcio. It hosted three matches during the 1990 FIFA World Cup. The stadium had an initial capacity of 60,000 spectators, reduced to 40,919 in 1990, and then 23,834 and finally 16,000 spectators with a provisional stand. It was closed in 2017 and the new Unipol Domus was built as a replacement.

The TIM Trophy is a football pre-season tournament that was firstly contested in August 2001. It is not sanctioned or recognized by official football bodies since the gameplay rules do not correspond to IFAB/FIFA laws of football. For the first twelve editions, the competing teams were Juventus, Internazionale and Milan. For both the 2013 and 2014 editions, Internazionale opted not to participate and was replaced by Sassuolo. For 2015, Juventus declined to participate while Internazionale returned. In the 2016 edition, Internazionale opted out again, and was replaced by Celta Vigo, becoming the first non-Italian team to compete in the tournament, and leaving Milan as the only original team participating. To date, no tournament has been held since 2016. Overall, Internazionale has eight titles, Milan five, and Juventus, Sassuolo and Celta Vigo one each.

The fifth edition of the World Cup of Masters was held jointly in Austria and Italy. It was played in July 1993. This time the edition was expanded to eight "Masters" teams, each playing in two groups of fours with the group winners facing each other in the final. The teams were reigning champions Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands, hosts Italy and Austria Germany, Uruguay and England. The event was won by hosts Italy, winning their only title in the event.
Stadio Amsicora is a multi-use stadium in Cagliari, Italy. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home of Cagliari Calcio. The stadium was able to hold 34,000 spectators at its height. Its capacity has since been downsized to 8,000 spectators. Cagliari Calcio moved to the Stadio Sant'Elia in 1970.

The capacity of the stadium was 8,000. It hosted the match between Czechoslovakia and Romania during the 1934 FIFA World Cup.

The Unipol Domus is a football stadium in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. Built in 2017 as Sardegna Arena, it hosts Cagliari Calcio football matches from 2017–18, since Stadio Sant'Elia was closed and partially demolished in order to build a new stadium. It was used as a provisional stadium until 2021 when the construction was fully completed and name changed to Unipol Domus.
