History

The first video posted onto World of Heroes, on April 17, 2012, is an episode of a program on the channel, Fan Wars. Other programs on the channel include Stan Lee's Super Model, Head Cases, Bad Days, Stan Lee's Academy of Heroes, Stan's Rants, UnCONventional, Geek D.I.Y., and Cocktails w/ Stan. Vuguru and POW! Entertainment, who pitched the idea of the channel and collaborated to create the channel, [2] unveiled the channel at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2012. [3] [4] The show, Stan's Rants, is based on Lee's old Soapbox column. [2] Felicia Day has appeared in an episode of Cocktails w/ Stan. [5]

In 2012, Lee discussed World of Heroes in a Q&A session at the New York Comic Con. [6]

POW! Entertainment Inc. is an American media production company formed in 2001 by Gill Champion, Arthur Lieberman and former Marvel Comics editor and publisher Stan Lee. POW! is made up of two companies: POW! Entertainment, Inc., a holding corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, POW! Entertainment, LLC and is currently owned by Camsing International Holding.

Heroes Convention, or HeroesCon, is a comic book convention that takes place in June in Charlotte, North Carolina. The convention has been held since 1982 and is one of the oldest and largest independent comic book conventions in the United States. The convention has a history of charitable work, donating to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and the Charlotte Firefighters Burned Children's Fund. HeroesCon is organized by Shelton Drum, owner of Heroes Aren't Hard To Find, a comic book retailer just southeast of downtown Charlotte.

The channel is the source of the YouTube video parody series "Hi, I'm a Marvel...and I'm a DC", which spoofs Apple's Get a Mac television commercials, known for their opening lines, "Hello, I'm a Mac..." "...And I'm a PC."

Geek & Sundry is a commercial YouTube and Twitch channel and multimedia production company. It was launched on April 2, 2012 by actress Felicia Day with Kim Evey and Sheri Bryant as part of YouTube's 100 million dollar original channel initiative. In June 2012, Forbes suggested that "if successful, it could help blaze a trail for the future of network television." In 2014, Geek & Sundry was acquired by Legendary Entertainment. The company is primarily known for their launch of the D&D show Critical Role, which aired on their channels from 2015-19 before being spun off under an independent company. SiliCon Pop-culture technology convention in the U.S.

SiliCon with Adam Savage is an annual pop culture and technology convention, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. The convention was founded by Steve Wozniak, Stan Lee and Rick White. The inaugural event was held March 18–20, 2016 at San Jose's McEnery Convention Center. The convention was rebranded as SiliCon in early 2020 and Adam Savage was appointed as the creative director.

Fan Expo Boston, formerly Boston Comic Con, is a multigenre convention held annually in Boston, MA. Primarily focused on comic books, the convention later featured media guests from film and television, cosplayers, an art auction, a tabletop/CCG/RPG gaming room, and an annual costume contest. After its acquisition by Informa as part of their Fan Expo line, the 2017 edition retired the Comic Con name and was therefore renamed Fan Expo Boston.

Screen Rant has expanded its coverage with red-carpet events in Los Angeles, New York film festivals and San Diego Comic-Con panels. The associated YouTube channel was created on August 18, 2008, and has over 8 million subscribers and over 4,000 videos.

Marvel Rising is an American media franchise produced by Marvel Animation based on characters from Marvel Comics. The franchise focuses on the Secret Warriors, a diverse team of teenage superheroes who must band together to defend the world from powerful threats.
