The Norn Stones are fictional powerful magical items appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Stones are depicted as being from Asgard and are commonly used by villains, including Loki, Morgan le Fay, and the Hood.

Fictional history

Karnilla once sent Loki some magic from the Norn Stones. ^[1]

Some time later, Morgan le Fay uses the Norn Stones and Surtur's Twilight Sword to restructure reality. ^[2]

In "Dark Reign", Loki gives the Stones to the Hood, who uses them to empower the members of his syndicate. ^{[3] [4] [5] [6] [7]}

In "Siege", the Hood seriously wounds Tyr using the Norn Stones. ^[8] As the Void battles the New Avengers, Odin takes the Stones from the Hood and gives them to Loki, who uses them to empower the Avengers and help them defeat the Void. ^{[9] [10]}

In Symbiote Spider-Man: Crossroads, it is revealed that the Norn Stones were created by the Celestials at the beginning of the universe and can be controlled using an artifact known as the Matrix Stone. ^{[11] [12]}

Other versions

The Ultimate Marvel version of the Norn Stones are extensions of Odin's power. Loki uses them to attack Asgard and slaughter the Asgardians, leaving only Odin and Thor left. ^[13] Odin pushes Loki into Yggdrasil, where he is locked in the Room With No Doors. ^[14] In the modern day, Helmut Zemo uses the Stones to free Loki, who kills him. ^[15]

In other media

• The Norn Stones appear in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes . ^[16] In the episode "This Hostage Earth", the Masters of Evil steal them from Karnilla in an attempt to fuse Earth and Asgard. In "The Fall of Asgard", the Avengers destroy most of the Stones and scatter the rest across the Nine Realms.
• The Norn Stones appear in Ultimate Spider-Man .^{[ citation needed ]} These versions are primarily used by Loki to augment his transformative abilities.

• The Norn Stones appear as a gear item in Marvel's Avengers . ^{[17] [18]}
