Stenotrema hubrichti is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Polygyridae. This species is endemic to the United States.
The Red Hills salamander is a fairly large, terrestrial salamander growing to about 255 millimetres (10.0 in). Its body color is gray to brownish without markings, and its limbs are relatively short. It is the official state amphibian of Alabama, the state it is endemic to. It is the only species in the genus Phaeognathus.
The Peaks of Otter salamander is a species of salamanders in the family Plethodontidae. It is endemic to the Peaks of Otter area in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. It is a montane salamander found at elevations above 442 m (1,450 ft), but more commonly above 760 m (2,490 ft). It can be locally common, but its distribution is small and patchy. This makes it vulnerable to local threats such as timber harvesting, recreational development, defoliation by gypsy moths, and spraying to control the latter.
Partula taeniata, common name the Moorean viviparous tree snail, is a species of terrestrial gastropod in the Partulidae family. It is endemic to French Polynesia.
Stenotrema is a genus of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod molluscs in the family Polygyridae. These are typically small to medium-sized snails, with a velvety or hairy shell surface, and a narrow aperture which is usually closely guarded by well-developed "teeth".
Rich Mountain slitmouth or Pilsbry's narrow-apertured land snail, scientific name Stenotrema pilsbryi, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Polygyridae. This species is endemic to Ouachita Mountains of the United States.
Vertigo arthuri is a species of land snail in the family Vertiginidae, the whorl snails. It is known by the common names callused Vertigo, or Midwest Pleistocene Vertigo.
Allocrangonyx is a genus of troglobitic amphipod crustaceans from the South Central United States. The two species are both listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. The animals are blind and unpigmented. During the male's development, the outer ramus of the third uropod differentiates into secondary segments and grows to a length greater than the animal's body length.
Polygyridae is a family of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Helicoidea.
Euchemotrema is a genus of small, air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod molluscs in the family Polygyridae.
Stenotrema hirsutum, common name hairy slitmouth, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Polygyridae.
Cambarus hubrichti is a species of decapoda in the family Cambaridae. The species goes by the common name Salem cave crayfish.
Stenotrema calvescens, common name Chattanooga slitmouth, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the subfamily Triodopsinae of the family Polygyridae.
