Stratus is a residential high-rise building in Seattle, Washington. The 43-story skyscraper, located in the Denny Triangle neighborhood, was completed in 2017, with 396 apartments and ground-floor retail space.
Stratus is located across the street from Cirrus, another apartment building developed by GID that opened in 2015. Both buildings, designed by Weber Thompson, are named after cloud types stratus and cirrus, respectively. [3]
GID Development Group bought the 9th and Lenora site from Cornish College of the Arts in 2014 for $16 million. [4] The group's proposal for a 41-story, 430-unit building on the site was approved by the Seattle Department of Planning and Development in March 2015. [5] Construction began later that year and was completed in late 2017.[ citation needed ]
The lot was formerly home to a rental car facility; it was divided between Stratus and land donated to Seattle Parks and Recreation for the development of a new park. Urban Triangle Park was opened in September 2019 and features an open lawn and room for a future playground structure. [6] [7]
2nd & Pike, also known as the West Edge Tower, is a 440-foot-tall (130 m) residential skyscraper in Seattle, Washington. Cirrus is a 440-foot-tall (130 m) residential skyscraper in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The building, named after the cirrus cloud, has 41 floors and is located at the intersection of Westlake Avenue, 8th Avenue and Lenora Street. Construction on Cirrus, then known as 2030 8th Avenue, began in May 2013 and opened in 2015. The building was originally designed for condominiums but was reconfigured for smaller apartments by architects Weber Thompson after GID Development desired a move to the rental market.

It was financed partially by Chinese nationals through the EB-5 visa program and began construction in April 2015.

It consists of two buildings, both facing Boren Avenue between Stewart and Howell streets: a 41-story, 440-foot-tall (130 m) residential skyscraper with 368 apartments to the south; and an 11-story, 307,296-square-foot (28,548.7 m2) office building with retail space to the north. Tilt 49 shares this block with the Kinects residential tower as well as the cancelled Daola Tower.

The McGuire Apartments was a 25-story apartment building in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The $32 million, 272-unit building opened in 2001, but was closed in 2010 after the discovery of major structural flaws and corrosion that forced evacuation and demolition. The building was demolished in 2011 using heavy machinery and filled with dirt. The site was re-excavated in 2017 for a new residential building that opened in 2019.
Nexus is a high-rise residential building in Seattle, Washington, United States. The 40-story, 440-foot (130 m) tower has 389 condominiums, retail space, and a parking garage for 316 vehicles. Nexus is located at 1200 Howell Street in the Denny Triangle neighborhood, adjacent to Interstate 5. The retail space, housed in a three-story podium with an indoor galleria, is planned to feature a music venue and a Boeing 747-400 fuselage.
