The Subaru Stella is a 5-door kei car produced by Subaru starting in June 2006. The Stella is based on the same architecture as the Subaru R2. It can be considered as a direct replacement of the Subaru Pleo, although the Pleo soldiered on for another four years. It was Subaru's re-entry into the market segment dominated by the Suzuki Wagon R and the Daihatsu Move, hoping to recapture market share after the R2's lower-than-expected sales. The Stella's dimensions are more parking structure-friendly where vehicle stacking is utilized over the Pleo. The most recent generation Stella is a rebadged Daihatsu Move.
The name Stella is Italian for "star", a reference to Subaru being the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster.
In June 2008, Subaru unveiled a concept version on an electric vehicle by combining the Stella platform with the electric drive from the Subaru R1e, [1] which uses TEPCO lithium-ion batteries. [2]
It was showcased at the G8 Summit on 7 July 2008. [2] Fuji announced in June 2009 that it planned to sell 170 units through March 2010, primarily to fleet and government users in Japan, with deliveries beginning in late July. [3]
It was also intended to be sold in the European Union starting September 2010, [4] but never was.
Due to the 2008 investment of Toyota, [5] the Stella was replaced by a rebadged Daihatsu (a Toyota subsidiary). [6] Subaru immediately started selling one rebadged Toyota, the Subaru Dex, but kept making the Stella and some other kei products for a few years longer than initially planned. The second-generation Stella (model code LA100) was introduced in Japan on 11 May 2011 and is a rebadged Daihatsu Move.
The third generation Stella (LA150/160) was introduced in December 2014. It was discontinued at the end of June 2023, although sales from stock were set to continue into early 2024. Originally, the Stella was scheduled to be replaced by the succeeding (seventh) generation of the Daihatsu Move, but after the scandal involving rigged safety tests at Daihatsu the Stella was withdrawn from the market along with several other Daihatsu models.

The Subaru Pleo is a kei car made by the Japanese automaker Subaru since 1998.
The Daihatsu Boon is a subcompact car produced by Japanese automaker Daihatsu since 2004, and also sold under Toyota brand as the Toyota Passo between 2004 and 2023. The Passo was once sold at Toyota Corolla Store Japanese dealerships until it was consolidated with other Toyota dealers in 2020.
The Daihatsu Copen (Japanese: ダイハツ・コペン, Daihatsu Kopen) is a 2-door convertible kei car built by the Japanese car company Daihatsu. It debuted at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, as the Daihatsu Copen concept. The second generation model debuted as the Kopen (Future Included) at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
The Daihatsu Move is a kei car/city car manufactured by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu between August 1995 and June 2023. The Move was Daihatsu's response to the similarly designed Suzuki Wagon R that was introduced two years earlier in 1993. The first Move was designed by Italian design house I.DE.A Institute and succeeding generations continued to build upon the original design. The Move is built upon the chassis of the Mira but with a taller body.
The Subaru Justy is a subcompact hatchback that has been sold by Japanese automobile manufacturer Subaru since 1984. Subaru manufactured the Justy from 1984 to 1994; since then it has sold rebadged versions of other vehicles under the Justy nameplate. The company introduced the latest iteration, a rebadged Daihatsu Boon, at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show with a 1.0 or 1.2-litre straight-three engine, front/four wheel drive, electronically controlled continuously variable transaxle, or a 5-speed manual transaxle. For the 2010 model year, the Justy was replaced with the Subaru Trezia. The Justy nameplate was revived in November 2016 as a rebadged Toyota Tank and its twin counterpart the Toyota Roomy and Daihatsu Thor.

The Suzuki Wagon R is a kei car manufactured and marketed by Suzuki since 1993. The R in the name stands for Revolution and Relaxation. The Wagon R uses a "tall wagon" configuration to maximize cabin space within kei car dimensional restrictions. The Wagon R is also sold by Mazda as the AZ-Wagon from 1994 to 2012 and as the Flair from 2012.

The Daihatsu Move Conte is a kei car built by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu from 2008 to 2017. It was a cosmetic variation of the L175 series Move. It had two engine options: a naturally-aspirated 658 cc KF-VE and a turbocharged 658 cc KF-DET three-cylinder petrol engines that produces 38 kW and 47 kW respectively. The Move Conte was also available in Custom model.

The Daihatsu Mira e:S is a kei car manufactured by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu as the successor to the original Mira. It was previewed by the "e:S" concept car at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. The car was introduced to the Japanese market in September 2011. It was also sold by Toyota as the Toyota Pixis Epoch, which was released on 10 May 2012 and by Subaru as the Subaru Pleo Plus, which was released on 21 December 2012.
The A200/A250 seriesDaihatsu Rocky is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by Daihatsu. It was unveiled at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show on 23 October 2019 under the "New Compact SUV" name. It replaced the Be‣go in the Japanese market and went on sale on 5 November 2019. The Rocky is also rebadged and sold under Toyota and Subaru brands as the Toyota Raize and Subaru Rex respectively.
