Sunampur is a village located in Golapganj Upazila, Sylhet District, Bangladesh. [1]

The village has 5 mosques, 2 schools, 3 madrasha (Islamic schools), 2 Eid Ghah (Islamic EID prayer place), and 3 cemeteries.

Two rivers flow through the village, Kushiyara River on the north and Radha Jhuri / Khora Nodi on south. Other villages around Sunampur include Chondorpur to the north, Islampur to the west, Ahmedpur to the east and Raihghor to the south.

Sylhet Shahi Eidgah, or simply Shahi Eidgah, is an open prayer hall situated in Sylhet, north-east Bangladesh, three kilometers to the north-east of the guru nanak international circuit house, meant for the Eid prayers. It was built during the rule of Mughal Sultan Sarfaraz Khan. More than 100,000 people can perform prayer at same time in this eidgah. It is also one of the most visited tourist spots in the city. Recently, the gates were rebuilt to ensure safety and security. As well as for prayer uses and Islamic congregations, the eidgah has historically been a place to give speeches and host rallies by the likes of Mohandas Gandhi and Muhammad Ali Jinnah. There have also been battles taken place there such as the Muharram Rebellion.

Hakaluki Haor is a marsh wetland ecosystem of north-eastern Bangladesh. It is one of Bangladesh's largest and one of Asia's large marsh wetland resources. Hakaluki Haor is bounded by the Kushiara river as well as a part of the Sonai Bardal river to the north, by the Fenchuganj-Kulaura railway to the west and to the south, and by the Kulaura-Beanibazar road the east. Kathaltali is a large village located in North Dakshinbhag Union, Barlekha Upazila, Sylhet District, Bangladesh. The population of the village is 3,162 with 1,545 living in South Kathaltali and 1,617 living in North Kathaltali. North Kathaltali is in the 4th ward of the Union while South Kathaltali is in the 5th ward. It has three mosques, Kathaltali Jame Mosque, Kathaltali Taki Jame Mosque and Kathaltali Bazar Jame Mosque. Kathaltali also has one eidgah. There are two sports club in the village - the Kathaltali Cricket Club and Shonar Bangla Cricket Club.
