The Swiss Men's Basketball Cup, commonly known as simply the Swiss Cup or as the Patrick Baumann Swiss Cup, [1] is the national cup competition of professional basketball in Switzerland. [2] It is organised by Swiss Basketball, the national governing body of the sport. It is the national federation cup of Switzerland.
Teams from the top-tier levels in Switzerland can participate in the cup competition. A total number of 54 teams play a knock-out tournament, with a final at a neutral venue to determine the cup champions.

Fussballclub Zürich, commonly abbreviated to FC Zürich or simply FCZ, is a professional football club based in Zurich, Switzerland. The club was founded in 1896 and has won the Swiss Super League 13 times and the Swiss Cup ten times. Their most recent titles are the 2022 Swiss Super League and the 2018 Swiss Cup. Patrick Baumann was a Swiss basketball executive, player and coach. He was the President of the Global Association of International Sports Federations and Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). He was posthumously inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.
AS Viganello, also known as Viganello Basket was a Swiss men's and women's professional basketball club based in the city of Viganello. The club was played for several years in the National League A and won the Swiss men's championship in 1980 and the Swiss Men's Cup in 1977 and 1980.

Patrick Burgener, better known as Pat Burgener, is a Swiss professional snowboarder, two-time Olympian and musician. Pat joined the Swiss national team at the age of 14 and landed the world’s first Switch Backside Triple Cork 1440 in April 2011. Pat competed for Switzerland in the men's halfpipe at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang where he finished 5th overall. He earned two bronze medals in the halfpipe events at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017 and again in 2019. Pat was named to his second Swiss Olympic Snowboard Freestyle Team on 18 January 2022. He represented Switzerland in the men’s halfpipe at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing where he qualified for the finals and placed 11th overall. His career results also include nine World Cup podiums, five European Cup podiums and seven Swiss Champion titles respectively in halfpipe and early on in big air.
The SBL Cup is the national professional league cup competition that is organised by the Swiss Basketball League (SBL), which is the top-tier level basketball division in Switzerland. The competition was introduced in 2004, and is the second cup competition that SBL teams play in, along with the Federation Swiss Cup. Formerly, the competition was known as the Swiss Basketball League Cup.
