The Cypriot Basketball Cup is an annual professional basketball national cup competition, organized by the Cyprus Basketball Federation since 1969.
Starting in 2007, the Cypriot Cup competition's format changed to where only teams from the Cypriot A Division compete at the cup. The cup employs a knock-out stage and a final four format. The Cup's winner automatically qualifies to compete in the next season of the FIBA Europe Cup competition.

Apollon Limassol FC is a Cypriot sports club, based in Limassol. It has football, basketball and volleyball teams. Founded in 1954, Apollon FC currently plays in the Cypriot First Division and has won the championship title four times, the cup nine times and the Super Cup four times.
The Cyprus Basketball Federation (CBF) (Greek: Κυπριακή Ομοσπονδία Καλαθοοσφαίρισης (ΚΟΚ)) is the governing body for basketball on the island of Cyprus and is a division of the Cyprus Sport Organisation (ΚΟΑ-Κυπριακός Οργανισμός Αθλητισμού). It was established in 1966 and became a full member of FIBA in 1974.
Cyprus Volleyball Federation (CVF) (Greek: Kυπριακή Oμοσπονδία Πετοσφαίρισης, Κ.Ο.ΠΕ) (Turkish: Kıbrıs Voleybol Federasyonu (KVF)) is the governing body of volleyball in Cyprus. It organises the first division, second division leagues and a cup competition.
The OPAP Basket League is currently the top-tier level men's professional basketball competition of the Cypriot basketball league system. It is run and governed by the Cyprus Basketball Federation.
The 1990–91 Cypriot First Division was the 52nd season of the Cypriot top-level football league. Apollon Limassol won their 1st title.

APOEL clinched their 21st Cypriot Cup trophy and their second in successive seasons with a convincing 4–2 victory over AEL Limassol.

Apollon clinched their 8th Cypriot Cup trophy after a 2–1 victory over Omonia.

It began on 26 October 2016 with the first round and concluded on 24 May 2017 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was Apollon Limassol for ninth time and qualified for the 2017–18 Europa League second qualifying round

It began on 29 November 2019 with the first round and concluded on 16 May 2018 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEK Larnaca for second time and qualified for the 2018–19 Europa League second qualifying round.

It began on 5 December 2018 with the first round and concluded on 22 May 2019 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEL Limassol for seventh time and qualified for the 2019–20 Europa League second qualifying round.
The 2019–20 Cypriot Cup was the 78th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 24 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. It begins on 30 October 2019 with the first round and will conclude in May 2020 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup will qualify for the 2020–21 Europa League second qualifying round.
The 2017–18 season was Pafos's 4th year in existence, and first season back in the Cypriot First Division following their relegation at the end of the 2015–16 season. Pafos finished the season in 10th position and reached the Semifinals of the Cypriot Cup where they were knocked out by Apollon Limassol.
