The Swiss Women's Basketball Championship, or SB League Women, is the highest tier level of women's professional club basketball competition in Switzerland. The league is also sometimes referred to as National League A (NLA or LNA). Currently the SB League Women is granted one spot in the FIBA EuroCup Women.
The 2019–20 season ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic in Switzerland and in March 2020 the Swiss Basketball Executive Committee announced that no team would be awarded the national championship title. [1]

The Lions de Genève are a professional basketball club based in the city of Geneva, Switzerland. The Lions currently play in the Swiss top-tier Swiss Basketball League (SBL). The team is based in the 2,000 capacity Pavillon des Sports. The women's team plays in the Swiss NLB Women league, the second-tier of women's professional basketball in Switzerland.
The Spain women's national basketball team represents Spain in international women's basketball competition and are regulated by the Spanish Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Spain. Spain has one of the most successful women's national teams in the world, being the current FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 silver medallists.

Per Günther is a German former basketball player. He saw action in 500 games of the Basketball Bundesliga for Ratiopharm Ulm. He also competed with the German national basketball team at the 2010 FIBA World Championship. Günther is known as one of the best domestic players in Germany of his time, as he has played in eight BBL All-Star Games.

Laia Palau Altés is a Spanish professional basketball player, currently playing for Spanish team Spar CityLift Girona. At 314, she is the most capped player in the Spain women's national basketball team, after being in the senior team for two decades (2002-2021). With 12 medals in final tournaments, she is also the top medallist.
Queralt Casas Carreras is a Spanish basketball player. She plays as a forward in the Spanish League for Valencia Basket. Also a member of the Spanish national team, she won the gold medal at the EuroBasket Women in 2013 and 2019 with the senior team.

Laura Gil Collado is a Spanish basketball player for Valencia Basket and the Spain women's national basketball team. At club level, she has been on teams that won the 2011 EuroLeague, the 2021 EuroCup and three Spanish Leagues competitions. As a member of the Spain national teams, she has been a medallist in all the tournaments she has played in from 2007 to 2019: nine medals at youth level and eight medals at senior level. The last medal won was gold at the EuroBasket Women 2019.
